Each year, the annual Imus Ranch charity Radiothon raises funds to support children and their siblings who suffer from cancer or other severe blood disorders.
Traditionally, the radiothon has allowed donors to pledge online or by phone – but this year’s event marks the addition of mobile giving as a donation option.
“This is a great new way for people to contribute to the Radiothon and help these kids,” said legendary radio DJ Don Imus, who founded the Imus Ranch in Ribera, New Mexico.
Supporters can text the word “IMUS” to 20222 to make a $10 donation, which is billed to their next month’s cell phone bill. All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Imus Ranch, the CJ Foundation for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), and Tomorrows Children’s Fund.
