Bruce Dern grabs
Oscar nomination!

When the 2014 Academy Award nominations were announced in mid-January,
Hitting the Cycle’s own Bruce Dern was on the list! Dern was recognized by the members of the Academy in the category of Actor in a Leading Role for his work in Alexander Payne's road trip movie
Nebraska. This marks Mr. Dern's second career Oscar nomination, having been nominated previously in 1978 for Best Supporting Actor in the film
Coming Home. The Oscars will air March 2nd at 7pm EST on ABC. We’ll be watching with our fingers crossed for a Bruce Dern win!

HTC director Darin Anthony on being named Artistic Director of Los Angeles theater company Moving Arts! Founded in 1992, the company is dedicated to the production of original works and has produced many world, national, West Coast and Los Angeles premieres. Darin also recently directed

HTC writer/director/actor J. Richey Nash is currently performing on stage in Los Angeles in Wasatch Theatrical Ventures‘ production of the classic American play
Inherit the Wind! The show, which is loosely based on the famous Scopes “Monkey” Trial of the 1920s, runs weekends thru March 16th at the Grove Theater Center in Burbank. Nash plays the role of E.K. Hornbeck, a cynical reporter documenting the trial for the fictional Baltimore Herald newspaper. For more information, visit Plays411.com.
