"Keys" to the Future
Recently, we received a keyboard request from a piano teacher in New York, Rich Campbell, for a dedicated and hardworking student in Harlem who had "outgrown" his previous one and had progressed to the point of needing a more professional model.

Serendipitously, around the same time, we received a
very nice professional one that needed a few minor repairs. We took care of the repairs and now Tyrese Thornton has his very own professional piano.

Here is Tyrese, pictured with the important "weighted keys."

Dear Hungry for Music,

I am truly grateful for my new piano. I like the new features it has. Thank you for traveling, bringing and fixing it for me. Thank you for helping kids like me learn music. I hope to become famous one day and I would owe it all to Hungry for Music and my music teacher for being so thoughtful,

considerate with patience and understanding. Thank you!

Way to Go, Henry!
Henry Martin of Wyckoff, New Jersey, with the bounty of musical instruments he collected for his Bar Mitzvah service project. Henry had a hugely successful instrument drive--as you can see--and we will be distributing these instruments in the coming weeks.
A Young Fiddler Can Blossom As Ozark Mountain Possom
Hungry for Music is excited about our new partnership with the Ozark Mountain Music Program in Brandon, Missouri. We donated four fiddles that allowed four students to participate in their program and we are sending two guitars and four more fiddles this week.

The program began in 2013 and they hope to expand it across the Ozarks. Their performance group, the Possom Holler Fiddlers, has performed at the White House.

We delivered one Roland keyboard, one Yamaha keyboard, three guitar amps, and four electric guitars to Rock to the Future in Philadelphia, PA.

Rock to the Future is doing amazing work in the Philadelphia area. They are one of our newer partners and this was our third delivery to them.

We Appreciate the Helping Hands!

Feelin' the Love From Hendrix Music Academy
"Thank you so much for the HUGE donation!! We really appreciate your support, it helped out A LOT!"

Hendrix Music Academy students sent us a few thank you cards in the mail.

Hendrix Music Academy is a not-for-profit educational charity, created by Jimi’s niece, that has been serving at-risk youth since October 2009.

Since becoming a non-profit 20 years ago, Hungry for Music has brought the healing quality of music to nearly eight thousand children through its musical instrument donation program. We appreciate everyone who has helped us along the way and could not fulfill our mission without the generosity of others.

If you are able, please donate funds, buy a t-shirt from our online store, or visit our website to find out about other ways you can support Hungry for Music.
