Happy New Year!!

Welcome to the Journey and Happy New Year!  We are excited for the opportunities, friendships and miracles that are to come in 2009 and are very pleased that you have decided to join us!

You are receiving email only news and information directly to your inbox from Africa.  In the business world it is often said ‘The best compliment is your referral’.  Please forward this email to your friends and family, because one of the best ways for you to create positive change and awareness in the world is to refer us.   Thank you all for your unwavering support  and helping to ‘Bring Wellness to the World’

The Time is Now

Would you help a child to walk who has never been able to walk without a crutch, or if you could help a woman in pain to sleep for the first time in over two weeks, would you?  If you knew you could directly help Dr. Campbell’s Cerebral Palsy patient, Jennifer, from the account below would you? Miracles happen all the time when the nervous system is free of interference, however in parts of the world where people have little access to healthcare, they seem to happen more often and on a larger scale.

Starting February 2nd, Journey to Solidarity is sending a Chiropractic missionary to live in Madagascar to provide health care and education for long-term sustained wellness.  Your donation to Journey to Solidarity allows miracles like this happen everyday.  If everyone who is touched by The Journey would donate just a dollar we will be able to achieve positive sustainable change in countless lives.

There are several ways we can help break the cycle of poverty and improve the quality of life for those regions Journey serves. For this reason we are looking into more than just free Chiropractic care.  In fact Journey will be focusing on establishing health and hygiene education programs as well as establishing a vocational learning center on site.  Simple tasks like washing hands aren’t always simple in Madagascar, and certainly not habit. One of the problems is having clean drinking water and sanitation systems, which is also a future initiative.

There are 20 million people who live in Madagascar; 70% of these people live below the poverty line.  Is it possible for YOU to change the lives of these people?  It is possible, and by having a long-term Chiropractor on the ground in developing countries like Madagascar we will all be a little bit closer to realizing this dream.

The time is now, please donate today and make your tax-deductible gift to The Journey a gift to the world.  In the words of BJ Palmer, the developer of Chiropractic: “You never know how far reaching something you think, say or DO today, will affect the lives of millions tomorrow.”

Postcards From Africa

When Dr. Dave Campbell, who practices in Gilbert, Arizona, found out about the Journey to Solidarity, his first thought was ‘Jay you have to find this girl, Jennifer.’  Dave and I were friends at Palmer College and Dave was one of the student leaders chosen to attend one of the trips to Madagascar in 2007.  It is stories like his, between two people that don’t speak the same language that inspired the creation of The Journey and really emphasizes the need for continued Chiropractic care across the world.  Imagine the life changes that this girl could have if she received care beyond 3 days.   Click here to continue reading Dave's account from Madagascar

Thanks to everyone and their hard work who have made this Journey possible.  The world is a better place because of your commitment to service and humanity.

In Peace, Health and Love
