A Big Welcome to our newest KRMites!
Mary Jo, Derek, Scott, Bobby and, welcome back, Amy!
Bobby
We are pleased to announce that Bobby Ellis, aka Bobby Tripp to local radio audiences, joined KRM in October 2010 as our newest KRM Moderator.
Bobby currently has an afternoon show on B-95 Hot Country and will continue with that roll as well as KRM Moderator.
Listen for this new voice on “the air” and on your events very soon.
Mary Jo
Mary Jo Wagner started as a KRM Moderator in August 2010. Some of you may have worked with her on your events already.
Mary Jo comes to us with years of experience in broadcasting, program engineering, pre-interviewing and calling out and connecting guests, as well as experience using program software and CD recording equipment.
She has worked with chancellors, company presidents, bankers, writers, lawmakers, state agency experts,
teachers, professors and law enforcement personnel.
Derek
Derek received his bachelor’s of business administration in 2008. He worked various sales jobs during college and started his full-time sales career. He has been reaching (and exceeding) all of his sales goals for the past five years.
Although Derek "officially" joined KRM as a New Business Specialist in August 2010, it that wasn’t his first introduction to life as a KRMite. During his last semester in college, he did a sales internship with KRM and got a preview of KRM’s culture and people (lucky guy!).
Scott Niedfeldt was born and raised in a suburb of Milwaukee. He started his career as a teacher and then moved to consulting services in the role of Sales and Business Development.
Scott is accustomed to juggling multiple projects successfully, and has an excellent track record of building new business, forging strong relationships with clients, developing partnerships and increasing company revenue through innovative and creative strategies. When he’s not at KRM talking with our prospects, he’s at home with his two crazy kids, ages 3 and 5, and a very lovely wife.
Amy
Amy Ely-McKane worked with KRM as an Event Coordinator for more than 6 years. And, then took a detour to focus on her art and her adventures with her two young boys.
She is now back at KRM as an Account Manager and is thrilled to be working with clients on brainstorming, consulting and helping them develop their educational programming.
Her background in event coordination, production management and the performing arts, combines her professional skills with her passion and creativity.

"Dear KRMite ...
The federal legislature is scheduled to pass new regulations that affect my industry. When this happens, should I offer an event (or events) with a short turn-around time? What about scheduling events near a national holiday?
Dear “Thinking about event dates,”
We’ve seen clients hold their events with short turn-around times and during the holidays … with good success.
Recently, a KRM client in the financial industry was able to capitalize on a very time-sensitive opportunity created by an important topic for tax and accounting practitioners.
Given the timing of President Obama's signing of the legislation and by not waiting until after the holidays to conduct their events, this client took advantage of a need within their marketspace for the new/updated information, the urgency of this information, as well as the potential for less competition and better attendee availability during the last two weeks of the year.
The learning opportunity here is the concept that a "best case scenario" for successful virtual events represents the convergence of at least four critical factors:
-
Urgency of information (new law) or important “need to know information”
-
Timing (events were promoted and first registrations received the same day the law was signed)
-
Authority and/or reputation of presenter(s)
-
Carefully-planned, well-executed marketing efforts - the right information marketed quickly and effectively to the right audience |
