Building Partnerships
A message from KRM's President and CEO, Rick OlsonRick Olson

You may have heard about PCI and SAS 70 or you may have heard it elsewhere and wondered, "What are they and why should I care?"

What are PCI and SAS 70?
PCI: Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is a set of requirements designed to ensure all companies that process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

SAS 70 was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The acronym SAS stands for Statement on Auditing Standards. SAS No. 70, Service Organizations (often referred to as SAS 70) contains the rules for conducting an audit of a service organization's internal controls and issuing a Service Auditor's Report.

What does PCI and SAS 70 have to do with me?
Your relationship with your audience and their data is invaluable to your organization. We understand you need to work with a partner who has proven security policies and procedures.

KRM has invested heavily in terms of staff time and dollars to become and to stay compliant with both PCI and SAS 70 requirements to ensure all of your event data, registrant information and money is handled in a secure environment.

Best Wishes,
Rick

KRMite Spotlight ... on Wayne Emberson

Fun Quick Facts
Name & Team Role: Wayne Emberson, Account Manager
Years with our team: 3
Hobbies/Interests: 35-year student of the game of golf, with very obvious diminishing returns in the past 10 years; baseball, fair-weather camping and prescribed regular tickling of my funny bone by whatever means available (i.e., my golf game).
Phone: 800.816.2640 ext. 232
Email: wemberson@krm.com

As you have likely deduced from the numbers above, I do have additional experience beyond my three years with KRM. Twenty five years of restaurant management and running a home-based independent insurance appraisal business. All these work experiences helped pave the way to helping you manage events ... and keeping a great sense of humor while doing so.

On occasion I am privileged to be able to conduct speaker orientation calls and also dive into the studio to moderate live events. This provides an additional perspective of the virtual event experience I can share with you - one that I truly enjoy.

I believe we must always remember that the ultimate consumer is the person sitting in his or her office or conference room with their colleagues.

Let's share our thoughts, experiences and creative brainstorming to take your events to new levels of success. As part of the KRM team of professionals, I look forward to working with you and your team on upcoming events.
