Planning for Success

A message from President and CEO, Rick Olson
Planning for Success
It’s the time of year when
many of you are planning for 2011. In a recent newsletter we shared many valuable
resources with you, and we hope you found them helpful.
We’re also happy to have a
review and strategy call with you as you prepare your budgets. We’ll review
your history in 2010 and discuss options for making your events even more
successful in the coming year.
Now, I’d like to share a
quick word about KRM’s plans for 2011.
Great news! We are not
planning to change rates for audio and audio+web event production fees or per
site fees in 2011. Many of our optional services will also remain the same rate
in 2011. We are happy to pass along these continued savings to you as we
improve services and processes at KRM.

"Dear KRMite ... How do I know my registrant money and data is secure with KRM?"
I’m concerned!
If I have KRM handle registrations and collect payments from
my registrants, how do I know their data and money is secure?
Dear Concerned:
You know that your registrant data and money is secure with
us because KRM is PCI and SAS70 Type II compliant.
What does this mean?
1. SAS 70 deals with highly sensitive, confidential information
that details our internal processes. SAS 70 was developed by the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The acronym SAS stands for
Statement on Auditing Standards. SAS No. 70, Service Organizations (often referred
to as SAS 70) contains the rules for conducting an audit of a service
organization's internal controls and issuing a Service Auditor's Report.
A. Audit firm = RSM McGladrey
B. Period the audit covers = July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010
C. Scope = SAS 70 Type II. The scope of the audit is focused on
the controls specific to registration/product orders and payment processing
services that are relevant to client user organizations of KRM Information
Services, Inc. (KRM). The controls described are specific to those activities
that are the responsibility of KRM and also reference those that are the
responsibility of client user organizations.
2. PCI - Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is a set
of requirements designed to ensure all companies that process, store or transmit
credit card information maintain a secure environment.
