Think video is too complicated? Think again.

A message from KRM's President and CEO, Rick Olson

Video is becoming more and more a part of our everyday lives -- how you get your news, research services and products, keep in touch with family, and even how you get continuing education training.

What does this increased interest in video mean for your events?
  • Should you have video?
  • Should you show video of your speakers?
  • Will video clips help you demonstrate points more clearly and effectively?
  • Is it a good idea to have video of your speakers presenting from face-to-face conferences?
You may have questions about video and how it can work for your continuing education programs.

KRM has answers.
A few months ago, I discussed video in our newsletter, and believe it's important enough to address again. In fact, we're going to highlight video services in this issue and again next month.

KRM has offered video conferencing services for many years and we are excited to see its popularity, interest and usage increase.

Should you use video in your events?
The heart of the answer to this question is whether or not using video will improve and enhance your events. In many cases, video is an ideal format and will help deliver your message more effectively.

The bottom line.
We want to partner with you to make all your events successful and profitable -- audio, web, video and streaming. Let us know if you'd like a consultation and brainstorming session to see if video is the right solution for your events and your audience.

Kind regards,
Rick
Services Showcase:  Video, video, video.

Benefits of using video clips in a webinar or streaming event.
  • Do you have a short video of an automobile accident for your safety seminar?
  • Do you have a video of a fire for your fire equipment seminar?
  • Do you have a video of a presenter making an important point that relates to your topic?
  • Do you have a short video of your speaker at home, talking casually about the topic that you want to use to create an emotional connection for your audience to the presenter?
All of these are valid reasons to incorporate video clips into your webinar, webcast or streaming event.

It's easier than you think.
KRM's expert consultants can work with you to determine the best format for your video clips, how to use them effectively, when to use them in your events, what needs to be done so recording displays the video clip clearly and more.

So many considerations ... and KRM can help.
  • New, interesting and different experience for your audience
  • Adds interest and increases engagement
  • Easier to do than ever before
  • Great option for attendees to see a well-known speaker
  • Presenters have to be comfortable on camera
  • Requires higher bandwidth
  • Not an effective format for all messages or audiences
  • Is cost effective and scales well to large audiences

Meet Deb ...

I started my career with KRM as a customer service rep and really enjoyed talking with your customers on the phone, helping them register for events and "getting connected" to your webinars. In my current role as Event Assist, I now have the opportunity to talk with many of you - our clients - and organize your event details. What I enjoy most about my role is assembling your materials for distribution to your registrants - and the many opportunities to jump in and be helpful where needed.

The sweetest jobs at KRM.
I have been baking the KRM goodies as long as I have worked at KRM - for birthdays, anniversaries, staff meetings and celebrations. We really like our treats around here so I keep pretty busy. I think people really only show up for staff meetings to get the treats afterward ... but don't tell Rick I said that.

I have also been working on the KRM scrapbooks for about 5 years. It's a fun project for me that allows me to use my skills and love of scrapbooking.

The purrrrrrrrrrrrfect family.
My husband Shaun and I have been married for almost 22 years (in April). We have three cats: Mickey, Max and Yoda.

Where in the world is Deb Nolan?
I have enjoyed many international travel adventures, including going to Germany, Switzerland and France. My husband and I also travel throughout the U.S. quite often to Colorado, Wyoming and South Dakota. We recently vacationed in Las Vegas for the first time, where we took a helicopter tour of Hoover Dam. You never know where we'll end up next!

Tid bit: Favorite movie is the Wizard of Oz and I collect Wizard of Oz memorabilia.
