SUCCESSFUL RESCUE AT KAZIRANGA! |
We are delighted to inform everyone that the Bar-headed Goose which had suffered injuries due to a collision with power cables has returned to the wild after recovery. This rescue is a classic example of a successful community-based conservation approach. All that the bird needed was rest, protection and veterinary observations. |
SPECIAL MEDICAL CAMP |
TCF organised a medical camp in Daabru, a remote village near the Corbett Tiger Reserve. Daabru is 4 km. away from a road and the nearest medical centre is 15 km. away (which is TCF's medical centre at Rathuadhab) and the nearest city - Kotdwara - is 50 km. away! TCF runs its Rural Medical Outreach Programme (RMOP) in Corbett, Kanha, Bandhavgarh and Kutch to provide timely and effective treatment to locals who do not have easy access to even
basic medical care.
