TCF, in association with the Axis Bank Foundation, launched ‘Samruddhi: a step towards better health and environment’ in Kanha Tiger Reserve. As a part of the project, over 600 energy-efficient smart-stoves with chimneys, and WHO-approved insecticide-treated mosquito nets were distributed to 600 households from the buffer zone villages of Kanha Tiger Reserve.

The Gujarat Forest Department has appreciated TCF's efforts in the field of wildlife conservation/research in Kutch and has selected TCF as a member of the State Wildlife Advisory Board of Gujarat. |
SMART STOVES AND BIOGAS PLANTS |
TCF-Bandhavgarh implemented a programme in association with the Friends of Conservation, UK, under which 400 smart stoves and 10 biogas plants were given to villagers along the periphery of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.

FENCING OPEN WELLS |
Open wells in agricultural fields pose a threat to wildlife. There are around 2500 open dug wells in and around Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. TCF, in association with the Friends of Conservation, UK, has undertaken a project of chain-linked fencing of around 200 open dug wells adjoining Bandhavgarh.

SPECIAL MEDICAL CAMP IN KANHA |
TCF-Kanha organised a special medical camp in the buffer zone of Kanha Tiger Reserve. Patients were examined and medicines donated by AmeriCares India Foundation were distributed. |
SPAY NEUTER PROGRAMME IN KUTCH |
In association with the Kachchh Forest Department, TCF has successfully undertaken a programme of spay-neuter surgery and anti-rabies vaccination for more than 200 dogs in the core area of the distribution range of the Great Indian Bustard (GIB). Dogs pose a serious threat to the GIB and other wild animals, and controlling their population in and around wilderness areas is a crucial measure to ensure the protection of our fragile wildlife. The dogs were treated by veterinarians and kept under supervision for 24 hours, before and after surgery, to ensure their speedy recovery, and released back into their respective villages after treatment.

WOOLLY-NECKED STORK RESCUE |
TCF-Kaziranga celebrated the successful recovery of this Woolly-necked Stork, who was treated for dehydration, weakness and a leg injury. There are few things as thrilling and breathtaking as watching a wild being return to its home! |
CERTIFICATES FOR BASIC HOSPITALITY |
TCF-Bandhavgarh organised a certificate distribution ceremony for ten trainees of the Basic Hospitality course. This course will help in acquiring alternative livelihood sources and reduce pressure on forest resources.

MOWGLI BAL UTSAV |
Mowgli Bal Utsav is celebrated every year in Madhya Pradesh to inculcate interest in nature conservation amongst young minds. TCF-Bandhavgarh organised a wildlife quiz for students in Umaria. Participants learnt about the local flora and fauna of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve and how they can be a part of the conservation movement in Bandhavgarh.

RECYCLING WASTE PRODUCTS |
TCF-Corbett organised a waste material craft programme to create awareness among students from over 20 schools about the importance of recycling waste products.

WILDLIFE WEEK CELEBRATIONS |
TCF celebrated Wildlife Week in all its divisions. Awareness programmes, along with quiz, art, debate, essay and painting competitions, documentary screenings, wildlife rallies, and several other fun-filled activities were arranged for students. |
ENHANCING THE IMMUNITY OF CHILDREN |
TCF-Corbett organised a series of special medical programmes in October. An immunity enhancing syrup (Fourtify Immunity Charger), donated by Ameri-Cares India was distributed among 106 students. The main function of this syrup is to boost immunity and help maintain a healthy nervous system.
