In association with the Kachchh Forest Department, TCF has successfully undertaken a programme of spay-neuter surgery and anti-rabies vaccination for more than 200 dogs in the core area of the distribution range of the Great Indian Bustard (GIB). Dogs pose a serious threat to the GIB and other wild animals, and controlling their population in and around wilderness areas is a crucial measure to ensure the protection of our fragile wildlife. The dogs were treated by veterinarians and kept under supervision for 24 hours, before and after surgery, to ensure their speedy recovery, and released back into their respective villages after treatment.

Participants learnt about the local flora and fauna of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve and how they can be a part of the conservation movement in Bandhavgarh.
RECYCLING WASTE PRODUCTS
TCF-Corbett organised a waste material craft programme to create awareness among students from over 20 schools about the importance of recycling waste products.
