The Libertarian Party of Illinois and the DeKalb County Libertarian Party are pleased to announce that Illinois gubernatorial candidate Lex Green, state comptroller candidate Jule Fox, and 14th congressional district candidate Doug Marks will be walking in Sycamore's annual Pumpkin Festival parade this Sunday afternoon, October 31st. The parade begins at 1 P.M. and will start at West Prairie and Thornwood Drive in Sycamore.

The Libertarian candidates are running on the platform of limited government and individual liberty. In a recent interview when asked what Libertarian means Green said, "Libertarians believe that the purpose of government is to protect our property and our individual rights…. beyond that government has no business doing anything." Julie Fox was recently asked about her candidacy for state comptroller and she said, "I am the only CPA, in fact, the only accountant, running for the top accounting position in Illinois. We expect our Attorney General to be an attorney. We should expect our Comptroller to be an accountant!"
