Hi Subscriber.

Did you see me in the Toronto Star or Metro (print or online)? That exposure came from social media and the Toronto Board of Trade. What do you think of the photo?

In my "spare" time, I've been working on two important presentations. One is Building Trust With Social Media for the CALU conference in Ottawa in early May. The other is Insider Insights Into Insurance for nonprofit associations and groups.

I used a teleprompter live for the first time (Teleprompt+ on my iPad). I had exactly two minutes and wanted to stick to a new, precise message. That worked.

Here's feedback from an organizer:

"I meant to tell you in person this morning but you sounded great speaking to the crowd! We thought that your voice / message sounded so professional — like a commercial! Anyways, it was great!"

If you want to deliver a specific one-time message with impact, a teleprompter might help you too. Memorizing is even better but takes longer (the way my brain works).

PS When I'm not blogging or sending out newsletters, I pay the bills by selling life & health insurance in the Toronto area. Would you like an Actuarial Insurance Review or presentation for your group?
