Hi ,
Self-Employed Can Deduct Health Insurance
I was doing my taxes for 2011 and was astonished to see on TurboTax that I could deduct my health-care premiums. I am self-employed, make a profit, and use the standard deductions; I do not itemize medical costs. Is this really correct? If so, can I amend my 2010 returns to also deduct my premiums for that year?
This question was asked by B.C., Salinas, Californiaof Karen Klein from Bloomberg Businessweek. The answer may surprise you as well as several other deductions. Read the full article at Bloomfield Businessweek.
