HEALTHCARE REFORM LAW WON'T CONTROL COSTS
USA Today
Oct. 19: A month ago, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius sent a letter to the president of America's Health Insurance Plans stating that the impact on insurance premiums from "the new consumer protections and increased quality provisions" of the new health reform law "will be minimal ... no more than 1% to 2%." Sebelius warned Karen Ignagni that there would be "zero tolerance" for insurers blaming unjustified premium increases on the new law. Talk about subtle.
Sebelius' threat, though, obscures a larger problem: The new health care law mandates and extends the kind of insurance that breeds overuse, thereby driving up costs and premiums. And here I thought the reform intended to reduce costs.

President -SW Las Vegas Maria Vega
Maria Vega was born of
Italian descent in Chicago,
Illinois. While in Chicago, Maria was buyer
for sixteen Chicago-area jewelry stores and owned construction company.
Moving to Las Vegas
20 years ago, Maria presently owns an Allstate Insurance Agency which is
considered to be the most beautiful insurance office in the city and has been
named the Most Recognized Insurance Agent for many years running.
Maria has five years of
experience in network marketing and is a member in good standing with several
upscale network marketing groups.
She volunteers for the Navy
and the Marines Toys for Tots foundation and is exceedingly proud of the
