Microsoft’s latest Security Intelligence Report presents security problems and insights as well as solutions and recommendations that have been gleaned from the company’s Security Engineering Center, Security Response Center, and Malware Protection Center for
the first half of this year. The bottom line is that the environments that IT teams need to protect are getting more and more infected – especially in the US. Here are the numbers: out of 600 million PCs scanned globally, more than 11 million PCs in Q1 and 9.6 million in Q2 were found to be infected.
