Introducing MemberHub!

Unit and council leaders, we are excited to introduce a new (and FREE!) tool to help you better communicate and engage with your entire school community!

From Gracemarie Rozea, NYS PTA President

NYS PTA is Leading the Way in promoting family engagement in our schools.

We are excited to announce our partnership with MemberHub, a PTA software company, to provide all PTA schools with a FREE communication program which combines separate online payment, sign-up apps, email communication tools and more.

With MemberHub you can...

  • Strengthen communications with parents and the rest of your school community
  • Receive online payments for dues, spirit wear, donations and other items
  • Use signups for volunteer time slots or needed items with built-in reminders
  • Email and/or text targeted audiences – from everyone in your school, to one class, to just one person
  • Share files and photos in a secure environment
  • Organize your school calendar and automate event reminders
  • Create, manage and purchase classroom supplies through TeacherLists
  • Access a private online school directory
  • Install the MemberHub app on your smartphone for info on the go

Look for additional communications from NYS PTA and MemberHub over the coming weeks. We’ll be with you every step of the way.

Thanks for all you do for children and families in New York State!

Communications Updates

This is the Last Scheduled "Fast Facts"

For our PTA Officers, critical and timely leadership information will now be sent as needed via email through the new MemberHub communication software. You will have the option to create a login with MemberHub and have access to all the information as it will be archived all in one place.

In response to member feedback, ALL members will now receive email communications with relevant NYS PTA information twice-a-month.

Our overall goal is to strive for communications that are specific and timely and not inundate you with emails.

Presidents: Watch Your Mailboxes

Attention unit presidents: a hard copy mailing will be sent to you with information about membership, advocacy events, leadership training and programs.

Coming Soon to a Screen Near You:

Jane Harsha, Vice President

Has this happened to you?

You intended to go to the PTA training, but you a) got home late; b) couldn’t find a sitter; c) were too tired to make a long drive at night.

The Solution is Here: NYS PTA Webinars!

Over the course of the 2017-18 year, NYS PTA will offer a series of webinar trainings for local and region PTA leaders. You can train at home, with a friend, or at a PTA meeting; all you need is a computer with good internet connection. A conference call option is also available.

Details on topic, date and participation will be sent to PTA leaders prior to each webinar.

Here’s a quick look at the webinar topics and schedule:

Start Planning Your PARP Program

Stephanie Avidon, PARP Specialist

With only a few weeks left until the craziness of school starts, why not use this time to start planning your PARP program for the year?

Pick A Reading Partner (PARP) encourages reading for children at all ages. You pick a theme, the time of year and length of the program, and the activities to best fit your PTA and school community.

Check out the PARP Toolkit HERE for a wide array of ideas. The Toolkit gives you everything you need to put a PARP program together. There are samples you can even cut, paste and use.

Whether you are a returning chair or want to start a program, the Toolkit has a lot of information for everyone. We hope you will help encourage reading through hosting a PARP program!
