One Child's Story

Some of our children at Palmetto Place come from homes where drug abuse has been rampant. These children have had to fend for themselves: finding their own food, bathing themselves and siblings. Sometimes living in a house with drugs means not going to school because there is no adult to take you. No matter how bad the conditions were, our kids always miss their moms and dads. It’s a hard concept to understand – wanting the person who did harm to you. But seeing kids cry for parents breaks our hearts and we do our best to comfort them.

 Our Mission:

To provide a safe and nurturing  shelter bringing together a broad range of services for children who are victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect

Thank you to everyone who donates time, money, and resources for the children at Palmetto Place.  We could not do it without you!
