Summer Workshop Success!
Over the past few months, 38 families around the Quad Cities participated in our Container Garden Workshop Series. They planted flowers, herbs, succulents, and created a terrarium. Participants learned about some of the therapeutic benefits of gardening and got to experience them first-hand.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, 74 free planting kits were provided to participants!

"My son noah, age 4, with speech delay. He has enjoyed planting these today. We got to learn together. I also got to use words like dirt/soil. Roots, dig/scoop. Pour slowly, Pat, cover, rocks gravel. Words that i wouldnt have used with out these and the last planting projects. And he is so proud and wants to help take care of them. We also got to talk about about colors, counting of plants and rocks and scoops of soil."

"We loved doing this. My daughter Alina did it with her grandma and grandpa while mom took pictures. She loved watering them. She was sleepy so she helped with the instructions and being bossy :)"

"The kids literally squealed when they saw it [the succulents]!"

"Thank you for the fun workshop series. I had fun doing each and every one!"
