Dear Tucson Audiologists' Readers,
As usual, it's been an interesting month at TAI. The blogs are full of intriguing items -- just click in the the next section. So far this month: No battery problems (YAY!!), Bluetooth cell phone and TV connections working as advertised (double YAY!!!).
Last month we shared FR's diary entries, chronicling his progress as a new hearing aid user. Today, we share the response we got from CR -- his east-coast son:
Thank you for sending me the Newsletter. I found it very informative and commend you and the staff at Tucson Audiologists for a great service to its patients. Of course, I especially enjoyed seeing my dad's log featured. That's so him!
How much fun is that?!
We received this email exchange from a patient last week. It was so encouraging that we cancelled our beach reservations and resolved to stay in Tucson and practice Audiology for the month of June!
Dear ____,
Glad to see you at the mixer tonight. You both look great. Improved hearing, I have found, can make a huge difference in everyday living and social interaction.
I believe that you would find Holly Hosford Dunn, PHD, and Sharon Hopkins, MS, to be quite expert in analyzing your level of hearing proficiency from physiological and electronic standpoints. These folks are not just another edition of "hearing loss solutions via $495 packages delivered by UPS. These folks are highly educated in hearing causes, conditions, and available assists. These folks were, and still are, recommended by real doctors, such as _____, preeminent internal medicine practitioner in Tucson. I have believed in them for at least 7 years. I still do. There are may charlatans out there who are playing their siren song, but Tucson Audiologists, Holly and Sharon, are not among the shysters. Don't hesitate to tell either Holly or Sharon that I referred you and Jim. It won't change their diagnosis or recommendations, but might help you get a bit earlier appointment for analysis.
Sincerely, ____
Full disclosure: We didn't even PAY this guy to say these nice things! And yes, we will definitely get his friends in as early as possible!
