When & why did you begin bass fishing? I began fishing at an early age with a creek by our house. I started bass fishing seriously when I was 12. My grandfather had a 5 acre pond loaded with bass. I love the competition that competitive bass fishing brings. I also truly love the outdoors and figuring out how to catch bass in all conditions. It’s been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.

Name someone who is a hero to you & would like to meet someday? Payton Manning, Tiger Woods and Kevin Van Dam come to mind. They prepare to do their best every time, and go out and give 100% and leave it on the field/water every time. That work ethic is something special.
What would it mean to you to win the 2010 TBFNC in Knoxville, TN? It would mean a lot. These are all solid anglers that have worked long and hard to get to this point. Coming out on top in this event would be a great achievement and would enhance my bass fishing career a great deal.

We still had all our body parts when we got to the beach….[35545]

Do you have a good luck charm or certain thing you do when it comes to fishing? If so, what is it? Will not catch a fish on first cast. Touching a Military Badge for luck - The story behind this. While sitting and having dinner had noticed a group of military personal coming in to have dinner with their families. My wife and I decided to buy them drinks to thank them for their service and all they do here and abroad. Not knowing this group had just returned from Iraq, a few of the men had walked over to thank us for the thought and how much it meant to them.
At that point one of the solders took off a badge from his shirt and handed it to me. At first I was at a loss for words, I thanked him and told them all that this badge would go into my boat to remind me of all those who fight for our freedom, and remind me how wonderful life is here in the USA. That Soldier looked at me and said I hope this keeps you safe and brings you as much luck as it did for myself keeping me safe while serving duty in Iraq. This badge has a home on the inside lid of my storage box and each time I open that box to get something out, I think of that service soldier and touch it for luck and say thank you.
