Bo Page – ACA Co-Angler

Name:  Bo Page

Age:  23

Hometown: Canton, Georgia

Federation: Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA)

Occupation: Teacher

Family Members: Parents: Barry and MaryAnn Page, Sister: Clare Page

Fishing Strengths/Techniques: Finesse

Favorite body of water to fish: Lake Lanier

What has it taken for you to get this far in your fishing career? It’s taken a lot of dedication to the sport. While most college kids were sleeping late, I was out early competing in what I love. It took a lot of support from my family, friends, and teammates at UGA to get to this point. I look forward to representing all of them in the TBF National Championship, and I am going to enjoy every minute of this experience.

Jay Clingenpeel – West Virginia Angler

Hometown:  Bridgeport, WV

State Federation:  West Virginia Bass Federation

Division:  Mid-Atlantic

Occupation:  Chemical Sales Representative

Family Members:  Wife – Veronica, Children – Victoria, Natalie, Colton

Fishing Strengths/Techniques:  I like to be power fishing if conditions will allow.  I have always enjoyed fishing a spinnerbait, crankbait, or jig more than drop-shotting and throwing a shaky head or the smaller finesse baits.

Favorite body of water to fish:  Overall, Lake Champlain but Lake Erie holds a tight second in the spring when the spinnerbait and jerkbait bite is on.

What has it taken for you to get this far in your fishing career?  I would have to say my wife, Veronica, and the time on the water.  She has always supported me in fishing and allowed me to spend the time on the water needed to learn and compete in the different tournaments and trails.

Favorite body of water to fish: Great Pond

What has it taken for you to get this far in your fishing career?  I enjoy belonging to the federation for the camaraderie and competition; I just flat out love to be on the water.  The thing that has been most important in my “fishing career” is my wife, Barbara, who indulges my addiction. The other thing is persistence. I have belonged to the federation for 25 years [41119] and work hard whenever the opportunity presents itself and now and then I trip over the right fish at the right time.

State Federation: Wisconsin

Division:  Northern

Occupation:  Production Supervisor

Family Members: Spouse- Lonna, Children- Nathan & Nicole

Fishing Strengths/Techniques: Versatile, not afraid to change, learning to adapt to changing water and weather conditions. Like to fish a variety of small plastics in the spring to entice a smallie or maybe two. In the fall I live to fish top water. This is the time when big baits bring up the big bass.

Favorite body of water to fish:  Mississippi River

What has it taken for you to get this far in your fishing career? Started fishing at a very young age. Later joined two different bass clubs. Met a lot of good fisherman and learned a lot different techniques. I fished local tourneys and also was fortunate enough to fish the Redman, BFL’s, and some Stren tournaments which came to my hometown.

Favorite body of water to fish: Mississippi River any Pool, Wolf River.

What has it taken for you to get this far in your fishing career? 21 years of perseverance and a Wife who understands my passion and dedication to fishing tournaments. Also must thank my good buddies Rick Bosshard and Tim Flaherty who pumped me up at the State Tournament at Shawno Lake convincing me I was still in the running. Also believing in myself once I got to the Divisional level, as tough as that Tournament was it was difficult to stay focused. I know I can and could catch fish. Luckily I was paired with great partners who allowed me to fish my strengths and my water. I’m very excited to be fishing the TBF Nationals in spring, I plan to go to Tennessee with a positive attitude and a never give up attitude. Who knows maybe I’ll be living the Dream in 2011.
