Brian Travis Makes Final Cut at Lake Norman,
Finishes 4th Overall;
Brandon Palaniuk of ID & 2010 TBF National Championship Contender Is Co-Angler Champion

2008 TBF 'Living the Dream' winner - Brian Travis - fished a solid event at Lake Norman, catching a limit every day of the tournament. He made the final cut to 5 anglers for Saturday and finished 4th overall with a total weight over 4 days - 44 lbs 5 oz. He finishes the tournament winning a little over $19,000, not bad! Keep it up Brian, you're looking good so far this season on the Tour, sitting in 7th place in the overall FLW Tour Standings with 373 points.

2009 'Living the Dream' winner, Robert Harkness, is fishing well on the tour so far this year. He placed high at Table Rock, represented TBF well at Lake Norman and will be competing in the Tour Event in Knoxville, TN at the same time as the TBF National Championship in April. We look for him to do well there also.

Meanwhile, on the co-angler side of the tournament, TBF Member Brandon Palaniuk of Rathdrum, Idaho and a member of the Panhandle Bass Anglers, Idaho Bass Federation, comes back from 11th place to win the Co-Angler Tournament by 3 oz over Jeff Freeman. Brandon weighed in 4 bass the first day and 5 the second which had him in 11th place on the second day. The last day, he brought in a limit to take over the lead and keep it with a 3 day total of 14 bass for 27 lbs 14 oz. This is only his 2nd FLW Tour Event. See the full results and story on Lake Norman on FLWOutdoors.com

Brandon has qualified for our TBF National Championship in just 3 weeks as the Idaho Angler. He was featured in the TBF eNews Angler Spotlight December 1, 2009. Brandon's on a roll, lets see if he can keep it going at the Federation Championship at Watt's Bar next month!

When & why did you begin bass fishing? I began at the age of 12. I fished with my grandfather for several years using cane poles and old bait casters, I started using some of his old lures and caught my first bass at 14.

What has been your most memorable moment when it comes to fishing so far? That’s a tuff one. I have several moments I will never forget. I have one a couple BFL Qualifiers and the North Carolina State Championship was pretty neat.

Biggest catch; when, where & how: 9 lb 2 oz on Lake Hickory [13292]

Name someone who is a hero to you & would like to meet someday? Rick Clunn

What would it mean to you to win the 2010 TBFNC in Knoxville, TN? It would be a dream come true. I have always wanted to fish a professional circuit to see what it is all about.

What has been your most memorable moment when it comes to fishing so far? There have been many, but making 3 Nationals & fishing in the 2003 Bassmaster Classic was the best.

Biggest catch; when & where: In 2008, Clear Lake, CA while fishing before a tournament I caught 53 lbs in 5 fish & the tournament caught the Big Bag for about 32 lbs & big fish 11 ½ lbs, but only got 4th out of 165.

Do you have a good luck charm or certain thing you do when it comes to fishing? If so, what is it? No good luck charm, but I bring 40 years of fishing experience to fall back on.

Name someone who is a hero to you & would like to meet someday? KVD, but I met and fished with him in 2003 Classic.
