Current Falling Price Auction

New 2011 Evinrude 250-HO (High Output) Engine

THE H.O. SERIES. BLURRING THE LINE BETWEEN BOATING AND AVIATION. Want to push some limits? The H.O. High Output Series outboards push them just about as far as they can go – or the industry recommends. But they come with everything it takes to handle it. Like a beefed-up Lightning gearcase that withstands the higher torque and rpms. Special vacuum formed gears with super-pure, extra-tough metallurgy. And stiffer engine mounts for superior handling and control at high speeds. All performance, all the time. Right down to the tricked-out graphics. Which, of course, will be pretty much a blur anyway.

How do the 'FALLING PRICE' auctions work? Visit our 'Help with Auctions' page at  http://auction.bassfederation.com and get registered!

You DO NOT have to be a TBF Member to register and use our auction site. EVERYONE is welcome!!!

EPA Denies Proposed Ban on Lead Tackle

TBF Members play important role in defeat of the lead ban issue!

Last Thursday the proposed ban on the use of lead based tackle was denied by the EPA. “The petition did not demonstrate a ban on lead in fishing tackle was necessary to protect against unreasonable risk of injury to health or the environment, as required by the Toxic Substance Control Act,” their ruling stated.

The right to continue use of lead tackle is withheld because TBF members and other angler groups let their voices be heard! TBF issued a “Call to Action” to contact the EPA and our elected officials through a campaign spearheaded by the American Sportfishing Association (ASA) and the KeepAmericaFishing™ website. Collectively, these efforts sent out over 43,000 letters to congress voicing their disapproval. Members of the House and Senate introduced legislation aimed at preventing the EPA from regulating ammunition or fishing tackle prior to the EPA’s ruling. TBF members played a significant role in the effort to deny this proposed ban; this role has not gone unnoticed.

ASA Director for Government Affairs, Gordon Robertson stated, “The American Sportfishing Association worked hard to assure the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) made a rational decision concerning the petition to ban all lead in all fishing tackle but it was through the KeepAmericaFishing™ website where the difference was made by anglers exercising their right to voice their opinion. Members of the The Bass Federation, as well as anglers across the Nation, are voters and anglers who can increase their level of participation in issues impacting their sport. Thanks to TBF for playing an important role in this issue and we hope you continue to make your voice heard on issues important to recreational fishing.” Read More
