Brown & Murray Win 2012 Florida State High School Fishing Championship

March 3, 2012 (Kissimmee, FL) – Twenty-nine high school fishing teams and their coaches helped get the High School Fishing State Championship Series off to a good start as they braved high winds on legendary Lake Toho near Kissimmee, Florida today.

When the teams all returned to the scales, it was newcomers Trevor Brown and Austin Murray who conquered the field with a 5 bass limit that weighed 14.13 pounds to win the 2nd annual event. Read More

Texas High School Fishing State Championship Set For March 25

PONCA CITY, Okla. (Mar. 5, 2012) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, and the Allen Convention & Visitors Bureau announced it will host the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) Texas High School Fishing State Championship. The event will be Sunday, March 25 on Lake Lavon launching out of the Collin Park Marina Ramp near Allen, Texas. A unique element of the event is it will follow the Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash, held on Lake Lavon Friday and Saturday. Read More

Arizona High School Fishing State Championship Set For April 7

PONCA CITY, Okla. (Mar. 6, 2012) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, and the Arizona Bass Federation announced it will host the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) Arizona High School Fishing State Championship. The event will be Saturday, April 7 on Lake Pleasant launching out of the South Ramp near Hook Up Outfitters in Peoria, Ariz. Read More

California High School Fishing State Championship Set For April 1

PONCA CITY, Okla. (Mar. 8, 2012) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, and the California Bass Federation announced it will host the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) California High School Fishing State Championship. The event will be Sunday, April 1 on the California Delta launching out of Russo’s Marina near Bethel Island, Calif. A unique element of the event is it will follow the FLW Everstart Series event, held on the California Delta that Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Read More
