      As stated in the test of the prior Newsletter and as we have posted in the past, the Koran clearly says that Israel belongs to the Jews. As such there are a few Muslim Imans in the world who preach this and teach this and who strongly support a Jewish state of Israel. One of them is Sheikh Palazzi of Italy. Below we have a link to a video of a recent talk Palazzi gave in Israel in which he quotes the Muslim sources to prove his points. 

   We have been in contact with Sheikh Palazzi for a few years and we hope in the future to bring him to Milwaukee as part of his regular yearly tour through the USA.

   There are also a few Muslims in the USA who are working for a reformation of Islam to remove the objectionable interpretations of the Koran that lead to terrorism and hatred of Jews. One of them is Tawfik Hamid who has written a book on the subject that we recommend. The leaders of CTJ met with Dr. Hamid two years ago and we strongly support his efforts.

THE QUR'AN SAYS:

"To Moses We [Allah] gave nine clear signs. Ask the Israelites how he [Moses] first appeared amongst them. Pharoah said to him: 'Moses, I can see that you are bewitched.' 'You know full well,' he [Moses] replied, 'that none but the Lord of the heavens and the earth has revealed these visible signs. Pharoah, you are doomed.'"

SHAYKH PROF. PALAZZI COMMENTS:

God wanted to give Avraham a double blessing, through Ishmael and through Isaac, and ordered that Ishmael's descendents should live in the desert of Arabia and Isaac's in Canaan.

The Qur'an recognizes the Land of Israel as the heritage of the Jews and it explains that, before the Last Judgment, Jews will return to dwell there. This prophecy has already been fulfilled.

    Dr. Tawfik Hamid (aka Tarek Abdelhamid), is an Islamic thinker and reformer, and one time Islamic extremist from Egypt. He was a member of a terrorist Islamic organization JI with Dr. Ayman Al-Zawaherri who became later on the second in command of Al-Qaeda. Some twenty-five years ago, he recognized the threat of Radical Islam and the need for a reformation based upon modern peaceful interpretations of classical Islamic core texts.
