This is Treibball!
Treibball (literally ‘blowing ball’ in German) was created in Germany as an easy, fun, inexpensive and convenient way for active dog owners to exercise their dogs by participating in a sport they could enjoy together. Treibball can provide the physical, mental and handling challenges of dog agility without the need for a large area and extensive equipment. Treibball started out primarily intended for herding dogs but is suitable for any size, age or breed of dog.

What is Punishment in Dog Training?
When we are talking about punishment with regard to our dogs, punishment is anything that is intended to reduce an undesirable behavior. Shouting, hitting or withholding a toy or affection can all be considered punishment.
It is very important to recognize that something we may consider punishment may not actually be punishment to your dog. Likewise, something you may not consider punishment may very well be punishment to your dog. Punishment then is in the eye of the one being punished. Remember, punishment is something that your dog will seek to avoid or escape. Read more |

Pet Adotion Center

DogSmiths Out and About
DogSmith Emerald Coast
The DogSmith of Florida’s Emerald Coast and The DogSmith of East Pensacola have united under the same management to better serve its customers. In addition, The DogSmith of Florida’s Emerald Coast is growing and expanding its team of pet care professionals. Ms. Christina Horne, CDT, of Milton joined the DogSmith Emerald Coast team as a pet trainer, pet care technician and pet waste technician. Marylynn Ehrengard of Panama City joined the DogSmith Emerald Coast team as a pet waste technician and pet care technician, serving Bay and Walton Counties. Amanda Purnell of Panama City and former DogSmith Emerald Coast pet waste/pet care technician moved into a part-time administration position. Ms. Purnell will coordinate pet care client bookings and dispatch the entire pet-waste operation that serves customers from Panama City to Pensacola.
The DogSmith of Palm Beach
The DogSmith of Palm Beach County free puppy socialization classes at Hobe Sound Dog Beach to its curriculum. The Hobe Sound classes will be conducted by Susan Barton, CDT. To enroll go to The DogSmith.
