 Jordan Lake Herons
The Heron Series

A primary goal of Lori White's painting is to bring to the viewer’s awareness the magnificent surroundings and creatures we all must protect. Both now and in her previous career as an environmental scientist, she has worked passionately to preserve our natural resources and to document our beautiful, fragile planet.

Lori is currently working on a series of paintings of the great blue herons ( Ardea herodias) that inhabit our local lakes, streams, and marshes. Read about Lori's adventures tracking, photographing, and painting herons on her blog post. Her heron paintings can be viewed (and collected!) at Tipping Paint Gallery where she will be the featured artist during the month of August.

Opening reception is Friday, August 3, 6 - 10 PM.

Lori will hold a second reception at 12 PM, Sunday, August 12 where she will serve mimosas with fresh berries to celebrate her admiration for these wonderful birds.  Please stop by!

n. lee ball and Susan Jones, TPG artists, are mooooving right along with their Cow Parade project! WiFi the Cow's spots are painted; she looks like a real cow now. The word search puzzles are ready, the computer keys are painted, the CPU is cut and the solar panel is ready for installation. Thanks to the NCSU Solar House for the solar panel!  The heat and rain are holding off a little this week so they should make great strides!
