Rick Bennett and Lee Ball at ArtSpark Street Painting
Rick Bennett and Lee Ball will be chalking five foot squares this year at the ArtSpark Street Painting. Starting at 3:00pm Friday September 13, over 150 artists will create art on Fayetteville Street. The work must be finished for judging by Saturday afternoon. Competition is fierce and the sidewalk is hot, but it's always fun to participate. Come by and see how the work is progressing. This years SparkCon Festival is larger than ever with every kind of art and performance imaginable from dance, circus, graffiti to music. It is not to be missed. Lee and Rick have their images in mind and the chalk ready!

Vicki has been touring North Carolina, delivering paintings for shows in Hickory and Lexington.
Both
Road Show at the Hickory Museum of Art, and
Art in Nature, and the Environment at Davidson County Community College open this month.
Closer to home, she has one painting in artSPARK’s
Sound and Music and two in the FALC Senior Show at the Cary Senior Center
.

Cold Cold City has been juried into the VAE's
N.E.W. show, which features some of the newest, most innovative works around! All works have never previously been exhibited anywhere else. They will be on display from September 6 through September 27. Please come by VAE to see this show.

Rick Bennett will be painting with the Visual Art Exchange Plein Air Group at the Fall Arts Fair on Saturday September 7 at Sertoma Arts Center.
There will be art booths, food trucks and you can watch art being created right in front of your eyes!

Judy Lynn, Susan Jones, and Lori White had works juried into the Raleigh City Museum show,
Your Art Here. Susan’s
Hot Now won Honorable Mention and Lori’s
Fayetteville Street Reflections won the Community Choice Award at the show.

Lori White at the Visual Art Exchange Launch
Lori will be one of the Launch artists showing at First Friday at 309 W. Martin Street, Raleigh. The public can view (and purchase) the artists’ work in the Launch storefront, with new inventory being unveiled each First Friday. Archival limited-edition canvas prints of Lori's Wet Street series will be available.
