Raleigh Glass Artist Melanie Stoer at TPG

Raleigh glass artist Melanie Stoer will display some of her decorative and functional fused glass art at TPG in November and December.  Her love of nostalgia, bright colors, and trips to the tropics shines through in her fun, retro designs.  You may have seen her "Melsie Glass" at some of the local craft shows.  Come by during the First Friday gallery walk to see what's new!

Rick Bennett leads the Visual Art Exchange Plein Air Painting group. They meet monthly during warm weather, usually March through November depending on the weather.  October was a busy month. On October 20th the Pullen Art Festival invited the group back for the second year.  Rick did a watercolor painting demonstration and the members plein air painted in the middle of an impressive showing of Raleigh artists.

The folks at Memorial Auditorium invited plein air painters to their Artstober event on October 27, which will cap off their month of free art events.  The painters will join music and dance performances in front of the the Progress Energy Center.
