Metamorphosis
Metamorphosis by Tunde Afolayan
Featured Artist - Tunde Afolayan

"Visual Poetry epitomizes the tactile elements involved in this body of work. Exploring the interplay of colors and textures within a visual construct allows me to create different nuances and evocative personal visual narratives. My creative adventures continue to evolve as I navigate through the path of endless possibilities, and the soul searching goes on..." -  Tunde

First Friday Reception is September 7, 6 - 10 PM
Show runs through September 29

The Cow Parade
Susan Jones and Lee Ball received a second commission for the Cow Parade that is being sponsored by the UNC Children’s Hospital; Mookey, the sock monkey cow.  The UNC Healthcare Volunteers give each child a special handmade sock monkey when they start treatment at UNC Children’s Hospital. Mookey will reside outside the Children’s Hospital with 2 other ladies until the Gala auction in November. For more information and images, visit our blog. Next month we’ll have pictures of the girls at the Round Up and at their new locations.

Logan's Trading Co. Art Festival

August 11th was Logan’s Festival of the Arts. Rick Bennett was one of 43 artists that participated. In addition to celebrating art it also raised money for ComeUnityNow a local non-profit helping neighbors in need. Each of the artists donated a painting for a silent auction and Logan’s provide a raffle item. There were three food trucks, Klausie's Pizza, Chin-N-Que, and Sweetwater Ice as well as live music. The event was well attended and a great charity organization was supported.

Thank you Logan Trading Co. for a fun day.
