Greetings!
Amazing how time flies! Here it is back to school time and fall is just around the corner! Where has this year gone?
Well, it has gone day by day just like every other year! How have you invested each day? How will you invest the 143 remaining days of 2012?
So many times the devil take an intermission to deceive you into thinking there is nothing that you need to do - - all is calm so relax, take it easy, close your eyes, that's it - - - - just rest! And if he can lull you into lethargy, when he does attack some area of the Body of Christ you will be so sleepy that you will say, I don't see anything to be concerned about! At least that is his goal!
What am I saying? Simply this, even in the calm times, don't stop seeking the leadership of God's Holy Spirit for what the Lord has for YOU to do! It may be that God has granted you a respite for a season and for a reason - - but don't take that to mean you can stop being vigilant and sober, because at any moment the Lord may sound the alarm in your life and call you back onto the front lines of the warfare!
How will you invest the remaining 143 days of 2012? If you seem to be in a calm time, take advantage of that and grow closer to our Abba! Draw closer to our Lord Jesus! Use this time to allow the Holy Spirit to do some fine tuning because sooner or later, the attack will resume and the battle will rage once again! If nothing else, invest your time to make ready! Become better prepared to engage the enemy in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ!
However you spend your time, make sure it is time well spent!

SPRINGFIELD MISSOURI NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS!
This Monday is the last opportunity the Christians and morally upright citizens will be able to speak our opposition to the City Council members opposing their proposed ordinance creating and granting a special class of protections for homosexuals, gender issue and transgender individuals!
This ordinance if passed, will make a Christian to be a criminal for the crime of intolerance for merely speaking against the behavior that God declares to be a horrible sin!
Please pray for an overwhelming turn out of citizens opposing this proposed ordinance!
Pray that God opens the eyes of our city council representatives to see the many harms - not just the spiritual but the physical, emotional, mental, financial and social harms this ordinance will inflict! Pray that just as with Pharaoh whose heart was hardened, God sends convictions that will break the hardness of their hearts and choose to agree with God's people and vote against ratification of this proposed ordinance! Thank you for praying for Springfield!

LET GOD!
There was in years gone by a popular song made of Psalms 68 that declares: “Let God arise and His enemies be scattered!”
What does it take for God’s (and thus our) enemies be scattered? WE MUST LET GOD ARISE!
We must not do things that hinder His works! We must refrain from our own devices that obscure God’s revelation of His mighty hand to the world of His adversaries!
How many times do we pray for God to divinely intervene against our enemies only to quickly take matters into our own hands, do what seems right to our way of thinking and try to conquer our enemies in our own strength?
How many times do we tell God all about the battles and the enemies we are faced with but never ask God what HE wants to do about it? Or, worse yet, how many times do we tell God all about our troubles and the enemies that are causing those troubles BUT NEVER DECLARE GOD TO THOSE ENEMIES?
Brothers and sisters in Christ - - if we want to experience and enjoy God’s victories; if we want to experience being more than conquerors in Christ Jesus our Lord; if we want to experience the realities of God’s triumphs THEN WE MUST LET – ALLOW – GOD TO BE GOD AND ALLOW GOD TO ARISE IN OUR LIVES! Allow God to become visible to our enemies!
LET GOD!
Psalm 70 cries out for God to deliver us, to make our enemies be ashamed – be turned backwards and be put to confusion!
How? How will God deliver us? How will those that seek our hurt be made ashamed? How will these enemies be turned back and put to confusion?
LET GOD! Let God be magnified!
How many times have we been confronted by the agents of the kingdom of darkness and we cry out for God to do just these things - - only to start magnifying ourselves, showing ourselves to be the strong ones who think ourselves capable to turn back our enemies because God makes us able to do so?
WELL NOW! If God empowers us to turn back our enemies, why does He tell us to LET HIM BE MAGNIFIED?
Let God be magnified! Bring the spotlight upon HIM! Show the enemy that it is GOD against whom they are battling! Magnify God to our enemies so they will see that they are coming against NOT US but against the Almighty, All Powerful, All Able, Maker of all that was or is or ever will be and that this ONE has declared that WE ARE HIS SONS AND DAUGHTERS!
Remember when you were little children and the neighborhood bully finally had hurt us so much that we said to him, “If you don’t quit being mean to me I am going to get my daddy!” Well, how long are you going to try to beat the devil on his own turf and his own terms! How long is it before you call on God and LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED?
Until God is magnified - - YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN! Until YOU magnify GOD, you are telling God “I AM able to handle this; I just want you to HELP ME!” But would you rather have God’s help - - or HAVE GOD DELIVER YOU?
When God is magnified - - THEN those who seek our hurt are turned backwards. When God is magnified - - THEN those that seek after you soul will be made ashamed and confounded! When God is magnified - - THEN God delivers you!
LET GOD!
We live in a time when the whole world, even our friends and family members are part of trying to make our faith in God of no effect by THEIR UNBELIEF!
How can we remain faithful to God when just about everyone is trying to tell us it is no use to have faith in God? How can we see God’s rewards for our faith in the midst of such overwhelming unbelief? How can we experience the realities of God when we are bombarded with UNBELIEF?
LET GOD! Let GOD BE TRUE and everyone else a liar!
The whole world serves the devil who is the father of lies! It is not God who has lied and deceived the nations - - it’s the devil!
We must LET GOD be true! ALLOW God to show Himself true in our lives regardless of how much denial and opposition we are assaulted with by our neighbors, our bosses, our co-workers, our friends and even our family members!
ALLOW GOD to be true by refusing to accept for even a moment anything that opposes itself against the knowledge of God in your life!
ALLOW GOD to be true by answering the devil’s lies with God’s Word - - JUST AS JESUS DID IN THE WILDERNESS!
When we LET GOD be true, we find every provision, every need, every care, every righteous desire and every legitimate concern is answered because we are LETTING GOD BE OUR ABBA FATHER!
When the enemy comes against you with his threats of whatever - - declare it loud and clear, resounding in the heavenlies - - LET GOD ARISE!
When your enemies come seeking your hurt, don’t try to do battle yourself! Make the choice to LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED in the presence of your enemies AND THEN LET GOD ARISE!
When everyone in your life is casting doubt on your faith and trying their level best to put your faith in neutral, not able to go anywhere or do anything that God wants done - - declare to every man, woman, boy or girl that you will do nothing other than LET GOD BE TRUE and all of them are liars! Declare your choice to LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED and then cry out with all your heart and soul and strength and might - - LET GOD ARISE!
LET GOD BE GOD AND LET GOD ARISE TO BE THE GOD THAT HE IS!

European Federation Will Form By 2016, Says Commissioner
The European Union will have merged into a federal superstate by 2016, European commissioner for financial services, Michel Barnier, said in an interview published by the French newspaper
Liberation August 2.
“The time is short: By 2016 the EU will have transformed into a federation of European nations in which their fates are merged without erasing their differences,” he said.
“A federation means economic governance, collective management of our budget guidelines, a banking union, industrial policy, and much stronger budget coordination,” he said.
Barnier explained that by becoming a federation, the EU is traveling in a direction forced upon it by the banking crisis. “Europe has done much in a short time to correct deficiencies accumulated over 10 years,” he said, adding: “Now it is moving toward a European federation, because the crisis has shown that we could not go it alone.”
Barnier said the plan to establish a European banking regulator by January 2012 was a step toward this federal union.
Barnier is right: The crisis is forcing Europe to become a federal union. His timescale is greatly accelerated compared to other EU officials who talk about these changes happening over the next 10 years.
But, as Barnier said, “The time is short.” The crisis will force Europe to change urgently.
Barnier is describing a huge change—a new superpower hitting the world scene very shortly. Watch this closely; it will change the world. A federal United States of Europe will be here in just a few years—if it even takes that long.

Christian Professor Says Jesus Was Really A Muslim

A professor at an Iowa college says as a Christian, he has to say that Jesus was a Muslim.
Ignoring the historical timeline in which Jesus taught some 2,000 years ago in the Middle East and the advent of Islam is dated six centuries later, after Christianity had impacted much of the known globe, Robert F. Shedinger, who wrote “Was Jesus a Muslim?” said his research convinced him of Jesus as aligning in thought with Islam.
In a video report that was uncovered by CampusReform.org, the professor is interviewed by In The Community television in Raleigh, N.C.,
Shedinger said the issue arose when a Muslim student challenged his teaching about Islam, and he rethought not only Islam, but all of religion.
He came to perceive Islam as a social justice system instead of a religion, and found that he thought the same about Jesus.
“I had to rethink what Islam is,” Shedinger said in the interview. “I came to the conclusion that it was a social justice movement and I think that’s who Jesus was in the first century so I conclude Jesus is more like a Muslim.”
He admitted it would “be a stretch” for many to follow his process and consider Jesus a Muslim, but, “It doesn’t make me uncomfortable any more.”
“Even as a Christian I have to answer yes to that,” he said
“We’re not trying to aggravate nobody,” said the interviewer, Abdush Shahid Munir.
Noting that his audience included Christians, Muslims “and other denominations,” Munir asked Shedinger to explain this book.
Shedinger said he re-evaluated a lot of the research he’d encountered during his training, and he suddenly recognized “there were a lot of scholars out there who are arguing the points I make in the book.”
He described his book as a “call for Christians and Muslims to work together to promote social justice.”
His book is published by Fortress Press, the academic book imprint of Augsburg Fortress, which “is noted for its significant publishing in the areas of religious studies, Jewish-Christian studies, African American religion, religion and science, feminist theology, and ethics.”
“The Fortress Press is academic, ecumenical, inclusive, and international,” the company explains.
The college lists Shedinger as associate professor of religion, and cites his course teachings as Intro to the Hebrew Bible, The Bible and Imperial Politics, Intro to Islam, Life After 9/11, Unity and Diversity in Contemporary Islam, and Biodiversity.
On Amazon, the book description questions the “convenient distinction” between politics and religion “and the isolation of ‘religion’ from wider social and cultural questions.”
The description suggests it’s to improve understanding between Muslims and Christians.
It revealed that those buying the book also often picked up “Muhammad and the Believers: At the Origins of Islam,” too. Or the Quran.
CampusReform reported that school officials at Luther were happy with Shedinger’s work.
“The administration is very, very comfortable with the proposal, with the book, and with what his statements about this situation are,” said Jerry Johnson, a school spokesman.
The school website identifies Shedinger as department head, and cites his research interests as the Syriac versional tradition of the New Testament as well as Christian-Muslim relations in the contemporary world.
But he said there really wasn’t much of note in the book.
“The ground he is breaking with this book is not anything exactly earthshaking,” Johnson told CampusReform.
Luther, located in Decorah, Iowa, identifies itself as an undergraduate liberal arts institution that is affiliated with the Lutheran Church, ELCA.
“We embrace diversity and challenge one another to learn in community, to discern our callings, and to serve with distinction for the common good,” the college mission statement proclaims.
“As a college of the church, Luther is rooted in an understanding of grace and freedom that emboldens us in worship, study, and service to seek truth, examine our faith, and care for all God’s people.”
It emphasizes sustainability, and offers chapel and lectures on iTunes with the option “Click. Sync. Learn.”

One of the foundational building blocks of ministry is a willingness to serve, but to do so is not only an amazing privilege and honor ... it is to serve the King of kings and Lord of lords!
It is not from a sense of duty only, but also from a heart of compassion.
To be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ means one will traverse a path littered with many afflictions, trials, rejections and betrayals.
However, for those who enter the ministry with a servant’s heart there is little that can distract or deter them from their Master’s bidding.
They ultimately realize every affliction and trial is another opportunity to grow in their walk of faith.
Furthermore they learn every rejection and betrayal is an open doorway to become more like their Servant King, Jesus, Who was despised and rejected by men.
... Our work is simply to do our Master’s bidding, and to do that bidding with a joyful, servant heart. How incomprehensible it is to think that the Creator of all things has asked us to do anything for Him, but that is exactly what He has done.
He is a Master Teacher Who desires to teach His sons and daughters that we might share in the joy and bounty of His work.
I am continually overwhelmed at this indescribable privilege to serve at the feet of my heavenly Father.
My greatest desire is to please Him in all He asks me to do that He might count me worthy of yet another task tomorrow.
O my heavenly Father, I desire to do Your will, and to do all You ask with a pure heart.
