The
TRUE HOPE TIMES
August17, 2012
Greetings from True Hope!
Greetings!

Well, here it is back to school time already!  You would think that they could at least wait until the day after Labor Day to begin classes, you know like when we were kids - - well some of us anyway!
In addition to praying for the safety of our beloved little (and not so little) ones, we need to pray for them in other ways as well!
Pray that God builds shields of righteousness around their minds and hearts so that the deceptions of the enemy taught in the schools' curricula will find no place to gain entrance into their lives!
Pray that God's favor surrounds them as with a shield so that they may share the Truth of God's Word and the Gospel of Christ throughout the school days!
Pray that God's wisdom is in every answer to why they have faith in Christ Jesus when asked by their teachers and co-students!
Pray that the forces of the enemy, especially the occult and works of the supernatural are not allowed an entrance into our school classrooms or activities in any way or to any degree!
Pray that the liberal chatter spewed by so many liberal teachers (not all teachers are liberal) is put to confusion and the promoters of godless society are confounded!
Pray for the parents to be diligent and inspect what God's children are being taught and those things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God are cast down!
Pray for our youth leaders in the churches that they would seek more to teach righteousness than to seek being popular with the students!
Pray for our pastors that they will unite with one another to defend our families against the increasing onslaught by the prince of darkness and his minions who are set to break through and break down our families and congregations!
Above all else, pray that we increasingly become the glorious bride for which Christ is returning!
Amen & Amen!

SPRINGFIELD MISSOURI UPDATE!

Monday night was a pretty bad showing for the people of God!  In the City Council chambers we were outnumbered by 3 to 1!
A lot of what was said was well received by the City Council members - - what was said by the other side that is!
We had 100 signs donated to show our opposition outside the City Hall during the meeting - - only about 20 showed up to man the lines!
BUT GOD!
But God moved on at least 3 of the Council members who are now indicating they will vote against the ordinance - - previously none of them were going to stand against the bill!
The Assemblies of God NOW has come out in STRONG opposition to this proposed ordinance!
Churches are now filling out petitions to reject this proposed gateway to abomination!
Businesses are now grouping together in opposition to this agenda!
National Media is now giving time to our cause like never before!
This battle is still seemingly a long way from being over and we still need everyone you can tell about this to ...
Pray that God opens the eyes of our city council representatives to see the many harms - not just the spiritual but the physical, emotional, mental, financial and social harms this ordinance will inflict!  Pray that just as with Pharaoh whose heart was hardened, God sends convictions that will break the hardness of their hearts and choose to agree with God's people and vote against ratification of this proposed ordinance!  Thank you for praying for Springfield!

Many Blessings!
Dr. Timothy

From Dr. Timothy D.TH
I QUIT !!!

There are those times in every saint's life that things seem so bad, so ugly, so costly - - times when we feel so discouraged, so defeated - - like such failures to God and have fallen so far short of what we know we can be, or have been in the past as such valiant warriors, such eloquent speakers, such powerful messengers - - that the only thing left to do is to quit!

Monday night when I spoke to the Springfield City Council in opposition to the proposed ordinance protecting homosexuals, I gave a very disappointing message; not in the content but in the delivery!  Just when I began speaking my mind was flooded with some difficult memories from my youth and it took every ounce of strength I had to push through and speak what God had laid on my heart to say - - and of course I was then hit with more blows from the darkness telling me what a disappointment to God I am and how no one would take me seriously again and on and on and on, so much so that after much prayer and contemplation ...
I quit!

I quit worrying about if my voice sounds weak - - "and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty!"

I quit looking at the numbers of the enemy that surround and face us - -  as Elisha rightly declared:  "Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them!"

I quit being intimidated by the look of the enemy's strength - - for as young David declared, so I declare:  "You come to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied!"

I quit being stopped by the mountain of unrighteousness that has raised up in our land - - I do what Jesus gave us authority to do:  "ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you!"

I quit being intimidated by the enemy for they can do nothing except what God allows to be done - - Psalm 74:10 (NLT) "How long, O God, will you allow our enemies to insult you? Will you let them dishonor your name forever?"

I QUIT FEAR!  "What time I am afraid, Lord I will trust in YOU!"  So we may boldly say: "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?''

I Quit SEEING What LOOKS Impossible - - "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!''

Remember this little writing and the next time the devil is doing his best to convince you to quit - - go ahead and tell him you quit with the same words!  He will leave you alone faster than you can imagine!

Amen and Amen!

Many blessings!

670 Million Muslims Expect Mahdi In Their Lifetime

http://www.wnd.com

Two-thirds of a billion Muslims expect the Mahdi – the last Islamic imam they believe will come and rule the world – to arrive in their lifetimes, according to a new Pew Research poll.

The results affirm the warnings from author Joel Richardson, whose just-released book “Mideast Beast” it moving up Amazon listings.

It’s a sequel to his New York Times bestselling 2009 “The Islamic Antichrist,” and it recently surged past Joel Rosenberg’s “Implosion: Can America Recover from its Economic and Spiritual Challenges in Time?” and “The End: A Complete Overview of Bible Prophecy and the End of Days” by Mark Hitchcock to claim the top spot in the Eschatology category on Amazon.

In a column written in WND, Richardson notes that he has been criticized repeatedly for believing many Muslims have a faith in the coming Mahdi, especially that there are a significant number who believe that will happen soon.

The survey by Pew Research notes that in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia, “half or more Muslims believe they will live to see the return of the Mahdi. This expectation is most widespread in Afghanistan (83 percent), Iraq (72 percent), Tunisia (67 percent) and Malaysia (62 percent).

The survey said that belief drops to about four-in-10 across Central Asia, except for Turkey, where 68 percent expect to witness his return. It drops slightly further across southern and eastern Europe.

“In some countries with sizable Sunni and Shi’a populations, views on the Mahdi’s return differ by sect. In Iraq, for example, Shi’as are more likely than Sunnis to expect the Mahdi to return in their lifetime, by an 88 percent to 55 percent margin. In Azerbaijan, the difference between the two groups is also large (25 percentage points),” the report said. “Differences between Shi’as and Sunnis on this issue may reflect the more central role that the Mahdi’s return plays in Shi’a Islam.”

The result? An estimated 672 million Muslims expect to witness the Mahdi’s return.

On his portrayal that such a belief is widespread, Richardson said, “I have certainly had my share of critics, not only from the pollyannas on the left, but also from within the Christian church.”

Richardson said until now it’s been hard to refute any statements regarding the percentage of Muslims who await the Mahdi.

“Now, for the first time, a comprehensive study including tens of thousands of Muslims, in over 23 countries, were asked if they believed that the Mahdi’s emergence was imminent, that it would occur within their lifetimes. And the results conclusively prove that which I have been warning about all along,” he wrote.

“The bottom line is that it is far worse, far more widespread than even I would have guessed,” he wrote.

And in Turkey, from which he believes the Antichrist will come, “68 percent of Turks, a large majority, are expecting the imminent appearance of the Mahdi.”

“Certainly the popularity of Mahdism within Turkey, when combined with the concurrent radical rise in (1) Turkish nationalism and Neo-Ottoman aspirations, and (2) anti-Semitism within Turkey, in so many ways, sets the stage for this nation to move toward fulfilling many of the last days prophecies of the Bible,” he wrote.

“Another important factor that I have been trying to make for years, is that although conventional wisdom has placed all emphasis on Iran as the nation that would produce a false Mahdi claimant (I say claimant, as there actually is no such thing as the Mahdi), the real danger has always lay with the Sunni world.

“The primary reason for this is because while the leaders of Iran regularly make a lot of noise concerning the the Mahdi – often referred to by them as the 12th Imam – there are some very strong reasons that it is highly unlikely that Iran will ever see a genuine Mahdi claimant figure arise.

What outsiders must understand is that Iranian Muslim scholars have developed a very thorough systematic theology to essentially guard against any false Mahdi claimant from emerging. … I do not believe that Iran will ever produce Mahdi claimant who will ever be received widely by the leaders or the people of that nation.”

“In my book ‘Islamic Antichrist: The Shocking Truth about the Real Nature of the Beast,’ I walk the alert reader through the frightening world of Islamic apocalyptic views, comparing them with the biblical prophecies concerning the coming of the Antichrist, showing beyond any doubt that in the Islamic doctrine of the Mahdi, the world should in fact be very concerned.

In my new book, ‘Mideast Beast,’ I demonstrate beyond any doubt, the scriptural case for an Islamic Antichrist. As always, it is time for the Christian world to wake up and fall to their knees in prayer. The hour is far later than most think.”

It was in “The Islamic Antichrist,” Richardson’ stunning research and analysis suggested that the biblical Antichrist and Islam’s primary messiah figure (the Mahdi) could be the same person. Now, taking a hard look at the most significant biblical end-time texts, “Mideast Beast” argues persuasively that the Antichrist, his empire and his religion will come from the Middle East and not Europe as has been widely taught by many modern prophecy teachers.

The Pew project reviewed what Muslims believe about angels, predestination or fate, the afterlife, heaven and hell (99 percent in Thailand believe in eternal punishment), the Mahdi’s imminent return and the return of Jesus, who many Muslims believe will deny Christianity and pledge allegiance to Allah.

Belief is not truth.

That is one of the greatest deceptions of our time, the idea that if I believe something it has to be true.

I run into it all of the time. Self-deception is the most dangerous of all. There is nothing more startling than to learn too late that what you believed was not true.

In fact, I believe it is the cause of most problems that face America.

Permit me to say it again. The fact that you believe something does not necessarily mean it is true.

Jesus told us that “you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” I hear folks repeat that verse often, yet they do not take the time to think about what they have just said.

Truth, alone, does not make one free. Truth only makes you free if you know it.

Believing the truth is not enough. As the saying goes, “seeing is believing.” But “believing” is not the same as knowing. Believing requires faith. Knowing does not. In fact, I have often been told that “you can’t believe your eyes?”

Belief is dependant on the credibility of the source. It really does matter from whom you receive your information.

Eve believed the Truth. In fact, she was a “woman of the Word” quoting to the serpent what it was that Adam had told her that God had said. Eve had heard the truth, but she didn’t know it. That is why she was such a sitting duck for the serpent. She could only repeat what someone else (Adam) had told her. She had no real first-hand knowledge of what she claimed to believe.

That is where most Americans find themselves. We are merely the victim of what others have told us. What if our guides are blind? Jesus told us that a blind guide would cause everyone to end up in a ditch.

To quote Ronald Reagan, “It isn't so much that liberals are ignorant. It's just that they believe so many things that aren't so.” The same can be said of “conservatives.”

One of the hardest things to get through someone’s skull is the idea that what they believe may not actually be true.

Paul said we must KNOW the truth…not just believe it.

Look at the mess we are in today. Is it possible that we have been taught things that are not true?

PROVING
the
PROPHETS!
This month's subscriber appreciation offer is Dr. Timothy's instructional article, "Proving the Prophets!"
On the one hand, the Lord tells us to NOT despise prophecy while at the same time He tells us to PROVE ALL THINGS!

Why?  Because Jesus warns us that in these last days of the Church Age, MANY false prophets will rise - - and they already have!
Jesus warns that they will be so effective that IF it were possible to do so these false prophets would be able to deceive even the elect!
Paul the Apostle warned  "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them."  Acts 20:29-30

From the very beginning of establishing His House, our Father God has both directed and taught us precisely how to PROVE those who claim to be prophets ... which is what this study does!
