TRUE HOPE TIMES
Presenting The Lord Jesus Christ!
December 10, 2010
Dear Subscriber,

Is it anything short of phenomenal?  To be a child of the One Who exhales stars, Who merely spoke and the earth became reality; Who merely spoke and the sun, moon, planets, stars, galaxies, and this expanding universe simply materialized where once there was nothing!

Creation is a brain bender, no doubt about it!  No matter how hard we may try, we just simply cannot get our heads wrapped around the creation, much less the act of creation, much less The Creator!

But what is an even greater perplexity is this:  That this God, The One Who created all that was, or is, or ever will be; The Almighty, All Knowing, All Present, Majestic self-existing God Who needs nothing or no one to exist ... This Jehovah wants us to know Him ... and to know Him as OUR FATHER!

Think about this ... He does not want us to simply be aware of Him; He does not want us to know of His existence; He does not want us to know Who He is ... but He wants us to know Him up close and personal!

He does not want us to simply live in the knowledge of His reality ... but He wants our reality to be knowing Him!  To know - - as in to constantly, consistently, increasingly experience Him and that He wants this to be our reality!

Contemplate that the next time you come across these Scriptures ...
  • What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?  Psalm 8:4
  • "... but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God ..."  Romans 8:15-16
Just something to think - and rejoice about!

As always, be richly blessed in Christ Jesus!

Dr. Timothy

When God speaks, then as His children, our greatest expression of love to Him is to listen and obey His voice!

THE ABBA FACTOR!

If only the world knew what God really wants!  Not what He wants from us but what He wants for us!  Not how He wants us to be to Him, but how He wants to be to us!

I can never get past the thought that God wants to be our Father!  And not just our Father, but our Papa!  To me that is always the show stopper!  When praising the Lord in song, invariably that realization comes into my mind and I am overwhelmed!  My voice stops singing and I go into another place of worship because God wants to be my Papa!

He begat a Son, just to give Him up to the cross, that I may be reconciled to Him so that I would know Him as my Father, and more than my Father ... by Daddy!

I first received this Rhema in 1990 and have been learning it ever since!  I was studying Ephesians and came across ...
 "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father."  Ephesians 2:15-18
Just when I read these words I heard the Lord say to me that His greatest desire for us is that we come to know Him as our Father!
Then we come across the vocative "Abba, Father" ... not once, not twice but three times!  The first time is in Mark with Jesus crying Abba Father!

Oh how wondrous God's Word is!  We are to be conformed and transformed to be like Jesus, Jesus called Father God, Abba Father in His most vulnerable, critical, crucial moment of his earthly life and then God's Word tells us that His Spirit comes into our spirits resulting in the cry for "Abba, Father!"

Oh, how God wants us to get past the limitations of the formality of religion!  Oh how God wants us to become ever more personally reverent in our worship!  Oh what price God paid in order that our reality may become the result of being reconciled to Him!

"Father" is not merely yet another "title" for God!  Father is how He wants us to really know Him!  But then, as if to explain that even "Father" still does not reach the depth of the intimacy He desires us to experience with Him ... He causes His Spirit to stir within us, bringing us to the point in time and the place in life where we get past all of the pretense, past all of the religion, past all of the formality and into the realm of true personal, intimate fellowship - - the place and the time when we finally begin to call Him ... Papa - Daddy - ABBA!

And because ye are sons,
God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts,
crying, Abba, Father.
Wherefore thou art no more a servant,
but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Galatians 4:6-7

Many Blessings!

"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before.
Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together."

For The Rapture -
May 21, 2011

Family Radio founder Harold Camping is predicting Jesus will come back for his followers on May 21, 2011. Family Radio’s campaign includes billboards in Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, Detroit, Little Rock, Omaha, Kansas City, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Bridgeport, Conn. The ministry is also sending people around the world to proclaim Camping’s prediction, The Tennessean reported.

Camping predicts the rapture will happen exactly 7,000 years from the date that God first warned people about the flood. He bases his prediction on the flood happening in 4990 B.C., on what he says would have been May 21 in the modern calendar.

Camping says that God gave Noah one week of warning, and since the Bible says that for God a day is like 1,000 years, Camping predicts there will be a 7,000-year interval between the flood and rapture: May 21, 2011.

"We hope that anyone would get a Bible out and try and prove that this is wrong," he told The Tennessean.

Well, they could point to the Gospel of Mark, chapter 13, which records the disciples asking Jesus when “all these things will be fulfilled."

In the passage, Jesus answers: “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” (Mark 13:32).

The Rev. Fred Fuller of Madison (Tenn.) Campus Seventh-Day Adventist Church said the Bible points to Jesus' return, but no one knows when.

"The Bible says no one knows the day or the hour," he said. "I don't believe that date-setting or the scare tactic of an immediate date is a biblical approach."

Camping’s previous book, “1994?,” said the end of the world could occur that year, somewhere between September 15-17, according to the Christian Research Institute .

Camping wrote in “1994?” that we can know the month and the year that Christ will return, but he acknowledged he didn’t know the exact day because Scripture says “no man knows the day nor the hour” (Matt. 24:36).

Previous predictions of Christ’s return didn't pan out. The Tennessean said that in 1843, the so-called Great Disappointment happened when William Miller and his followers sold their homes and waited in a field for Jesus to come back.
