1. Either a revival of righteousness will produce an election of the correct candidate who God will use to salvage what our nation is was established to be;
   
2. or an election of such a candidate may spark a revival of righteousness;
   
3. OR - because God's own people will not repent then regardless of which candidate is elected, God's judgment is falling upon His own house first and the nation along with the rest of the of thte world is crossing the threshold into the Great Tribulation!

For more than the last 3 years the prophetic word has been spoken that if our nation is to be spared from God's judgment, there must be a revival of righteousness among God's people!

A few weeks ago I was with some folks watching a movie on television that seemed ok to watch - - until a sexual scene came on showing a naked woman!  I immediately closed my eyes, turned my head and asked that the channel be changed - and another female in the room made fun of me - - and she claims to be a Christian!  (My wife and I do not watch movies with this kind of stuff but we were told that this movie was a good movie by the same "Christian female" that made fun of me for closing my eyes!)

Recently I encountered a parent who took their 16 year old son into HOOTERS!  This parent - - claims to be a Christian!  I was not only appalled by this but when discussing this with the man, he told me that he thought that it would be imposing his views on the boy by refusing to take him!

These are just two examples of why we need a revival of righteousness!  The people who claim to be Christians expect God to just bless and bless and bless, complain that faith doesn't work when God does not bless and yet they refuse to live the way God says is right for His people to live!

If God's people want to live the same way that the lost world lives, why should God spare our nation from His judgment?

Here are three Scripture passages we need to consider:

1. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
   For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
   And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.  1 John 2:15-17
2. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
    Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
     For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
   And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?  1 Peter 4:15-18
3. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
   If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 
   2 Chronicles 7:13-14

So let's see:  If the people of God insist on living in the same ways and pleasures of the world, the people of God should expect God's judgment to come upon them which appear to be quite uncomfortable judgments until and unless the people of God will return to living like God says the people of God should live because they are the people of God!

Now let’s look at some hard facts about the church community:

• Over 50% of men in churches (some surveys say as much as 67%) admit some regular involvement with pornography!
• Over 1/3 of women in churches admit being involved with pornography!
• READY FORR THIS ONE?  50 percent of pastors said they visited adult web sites at least once a week, according to Transparent Ministries.
• 32% of Christians have been divorced (Non-Christian = 33%)
• 52% of Christian teens believe that Jesus was a sinner!
• Only about 9% of born-again adults and 5% of youth have a Biblical worldview. (Barna Research)
• 70% of born again parents did not mention leading their children to faith in Christ as a critical outcome of their parenting, but nearly 40% thought that getting a good education was an important parenting outcome. (Barna Research).

This list does not even show the church community’s involvement in child abuse, child pornography, food stamp recipients, and on and on and on!

What this definitely does show is that THE PEOPLE CALLING THEMSELVES BY GOD’S NAME ARE NOT LIVING RIGHTEOUSLY!  What, is God supposed to bless His people who are choosing sin over righteousness?  Really?

Have we become so deceived and so blinded to the Truth That we cannot even see what we who are God's own people are guilty of before God? 

Have we become so desensitized to sin that the majority of God’s people don’t even realize that the wrong they do is sin?

I close this article with one New Testament passage …

Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

1 Corinthians 10:1-12

Why should God spare the U.S.A.?  Unless the people of God choose a revival of righteousness I see no reason why He should - - or will!

There is an ancient proverb that says “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”  As a nation that can freely choose its leadership, the fallen state of the populace has not kept a proper watch over those who would be elected to lead. Now there is a cadre of leaders in Congress, the judicial system and at the White House who are systematically destroying the nation, the American way of life, and placing the entirety of America’s future in jeopardy of becoming an afterthought. This is particularly important to the rest of the world, as America traditionally has been viewed as a beacon of freedom.

America’s leaders seek war after war after war in the name of liberating mostly Islamic peoples to the benefits of democracy. In turn, these grateful people choose Islamic Sharia as their law, and become more oppressed than before, exalting evil leaders who wish to impose their brand of religion and government on the rest of the world. Additionally, America through its foreign policy actions has made the world a far less safer place. In particular, the only true ally of the United States in the Middle East, Israel, is increasingly being surrounded by extremists as a result of the American actions. This foreign policy has exacted a political, economical and physical toll on every American citizen.

America’s leadership has collectively borrowed and printed money it doesn’t have. It has instituted policies and programs that redistribute the earnings of those who work hard to those who do not work at all. America’s leaders have corrupted our children by teaching perversion in the public schools. They have abused their power in passing many laws that would never hold up under the Constitution save an honest judiciary. They move to remove Christian religion from the public square. They refuse to secure the nation’s borders, even to the point of arming drug lords from Mexico with assault weapons. They have demolished the American dream of home ownership. These are just a few of the problems.

Sadly, the two party system has no checks and balances because both parties say what they need to say to get elected, and they act the same as the ruling class. The government of the people now knows better than the people. As the Apostle Peter says “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of Yah (God).” You see, those who know the Truth of Yeshua (Jesus) should be overcoming evil with good. If 80% of Americans claim to be Christian, why doesn’t America’s leadership reflect those values? Unless Americans take seriously their spiritual obligation and act responsibility as citizens, there will be no new dawn, but there will be a great mourning.
