TRUE HOPE TIMES

Volume 3 January 12, 2012

Hello,
We trust that 2012 has begun with blessings upon your life and throughout your family!
Some say that 2012 is predicted to be the "end of our present world" while others say that this year will see the beginning of the end of the U.S.A. as we know it to be.
One thing is for sure, the process of time always produces change and with change comes challenges - - are you prepared to face and deal with those challenges?  Many people across our nation and perhaps around the world are dealing with fear and fright due to what has been and is being said about the year before us - - but the child of God has no cause to fear and every reason to be confident - - if righteousness prevails in their lives!
Be sure to follow our study series on "2012:  True Prophecies or False Predictions?"  We will be answering much of what has been touted as impending doom in store for the world!

2012 - TRUE PROPHECIES -or-
FALSE PREDICTIONS?

Part 1

Wow!  From the Mayan Calender to business men "in the know" we are being hit from all sides with predictions ranging from economic catastrophe to the catostrophic end of planet earth and just about everything in between!

What is happening?  Why is there such a preponderance of dread among humanity - especially in the U.S.?

As I was in the middle of a message one or two Sundays ago, I believe I received a remarkable revelation about all of this - -
- - God's Word says that in the end days there shall come scoffers ...
  • "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
"And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."
It seems that there must be a catalyst for scoffers to become predominant and what could be more of a catalyst than to be deluged with a flood of false prophecies and predictions of doom and gloom that - because they are not from God - don't have the chance of a matchstick in a snowstorm of coming to pass!

Then, when all of these prognostications fail, when the prophetic word of God is spoken forth, the stage has been set for scoffers to (with varying degrees of success) rebuff the prophets and the message of Truth and lead masses of misguided souls away from the truth!

Continuing on with God's Word about this ...
  •  "For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
"Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished . . .
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
    (Study 2 Peter 3)
What's more, after a flood of false prognostications that fail to come to pass, a further result would be that the masses - even among God's own people - will conclude that Jesus is not returning soon, much less immediately!  The people will stop expecting God's True prophetic word to be fulfilled!

I wonder if that is what Jesus was referring to when He declared - -
  • "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh."  Matthew 24:44
Many Blessings!

Dr. Timothy

PROPHET'S CORNER

WELCOME TO 2012!

By Gary Kah - Prophezine

Well, here we are, the much anticipated year 2012 has finally arrived – the year in which the world as we know it is supposed to end. The countdown to December 21st is on, with more one-world/new age events being planned for the next twelve-month period than any other stretch of time in recent memory.

Meetings on the itinerary include a host of interfaith gatherings designed to bring the religions of the world together in order to facilitate a “Quantum Leap” into the “New Spiritual Order.”  While this may or may not be the year in which the one-world agenda comes to fruition, the Bible warns that a time of unprecedented worldwide deception spearheaded by the Antichrist (also known as the Beast or Lawless One) will take place in the final days of human history – just prior to the return of Jesus the Messiah (Matthew 24, Revelation 13 & 14, II Thessalonians 2). Only God knows how much time we have to freely share His message of hope and forgiveness; however, new age globalists are pulling out all the stops to make their dream of an occult world order come true.

The momentum is expected to build through the spring and summer, accelerating next fall when over 300 spiritual leaders representing the world’s religions come together in Rome. Their purpose will be to draft a charter intended to pave the way for a “new global consciousness.” The drafting of this charter will be overseen by a group of influential religious leaders – including two prominent Vatican cardinals, a former Italian prime minister, the Dalai Lama of Tibet, and new ager Barbara Marx Hubbard, among others.

Then, on December 21 – 28, the New Group of World Servers (NGWS) will be sponsoring a worldwide occult meditation festival. The NGWS has been inspired by the writings of Theosophist Alice Bailey who founded Lucifer Publishing Company in 1922, before changing its name to Lucis Trust two years later. (See chapter two of my book The New World Religion for complete documentation.) It is Lucis Trust and World Goodwill – sister organizations derived from the work of Alice Bailey – that are the guiding bodies behind this “festival” week. Their hope is that the occult meditations/activities occurring simultaneously throughout the world during that week will enable “group fusion” to bring about their desired global transformation.

During this worldwide occult spectacle, a new “birth of the world” is to be celebrated. Dubbed “Birth 2012,” New Age leader Barbara Marx Hubbard is calling December 22, 2012, a “global birthday.” She is working with other new age figures, hoping their efforts will bring about the global evolutionary leap that will finally unite the world spiritually, socially, and consciously. In short, December 22 has been designated the launch date for unveiling their new world order.

Jesus Christ IS God…
By Fred DeRuvo

He's NOT a swear word!

My wife and I were returning home from a trip and passed a semi with the message "Jesus Christ is Lord.  Not a swear word" on the side of the trailer in huge lettering.

I couldn't help but be impressed and it made me think.  He's not only Lord but He is God.  I know there are plenty of people who disagree with that, but that's because they do not understand what the Bible says.  They pick and choose and lift out of context, but when Scripture is allowed to interpret Scripture, the only real conclusion one can arrive at is that Jesus claimed on numerous occasions to BE equal TO God, literally making Him God.

In other words, when He said "Before Abraham was, I AM" in John 8:58, the Jews knew what He was saying.  This is why they wanted to kill Him because they knew He was making Himself equal to God.  The fact that Jesus does not immediately try to "correct" Himself says that He either had a death wish or was/is God.

The problem most have is that it is difficult for humanity to wrap their minds around the idea that God can be incarnated into human flesh.  We expect God to roll back the heavens, parting the sky, and riding into our view on a flaming horse backed by millions of angels.  We expect God to be so fearful that we would immediately wish to die to escape His presence (as if dying could do that).

I'm very aware of what Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Islam, and others teach about Jesus.  The problem is that each of these religions/ideologies teach something that is based on something ELSE.  In each of the three cases mentioned above, a person came along and essentially taught that Jesus was NOT God, but at most He was A god.  Islam teaches that He was a messenger of Allah.  That bothers me because He was NOT a messenger of Allah.

It also bothers me that Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons believe that Jesus was merely a TYPE of god (small "g"), but not VERY God.  These people have a very interesting way of trivializing the Bible, placing their own writings above it, though they would deny it.

In each case, these people believe that the Bible has been corrupted by man, yet THEIR particular writings are error-free.  Apparently, God was not strong enough to supersede man's shortcomings to create and keep His holy Word pure.  He only managed to do that with the specific writings of Jehovah's Witnesses (New World Translation), Mormons (Book of Mormon), and Islam (Qur'an).

I know, I know.  People will say I'm being critical of these other religions. Yes and no.  I'm holding their beliefs up to QUESTION, not ridicule.  I'm using THEIR rationale to show how weak their own arguments are in the end.

If you read any number of passages in the biblical text, it is very difficult to come away (unless you approach Scripture with a certain frame of reference) from these passages believing that they do not teach that Jesus was/is God.

For instance, Hebrews 1:1-8 says this:

"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

4Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

5For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

6And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

7And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

8But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom."

Note that the writer of Hebrews tells us that in "these last days," God spoke through His Son.  Note verse 3 which tells us that Jesus is "the express image of His Person."  Folks, the writer is saying that Jesus is a mirror image of God.  What THAT means is that He IS God.

Note verse 8, which has God speaking to God - "Thy Throne, O God, is for ever..."  Psalm 2 does this same thing with God speaking among Himself.

There are so many examples in the Bible of Jesus acting like God, speaking like God and more than implying that He is God, it makes it difficult to ignore.  Yet people continue to ignore it.

Moreover, no other religious leader has ever become a swear word as far as I know.  Only Jesus.  He is the only One who has that "privilege" apparently.  That also tells me something.

Using the precious and holy Name of Jesus as a swear word came from no other place except the pit of hell.  Satan won't waste his time trying to get people to use "Muhammad," or "Confucius," or "Buddha" as swear words.  What's the point?  These are just men.  They did not come to die on a cross in order that the problem of sin might be settled.  Only Jesus did that and more than one religious ideology downplays or denies that He died on the cross, which is the central theme of the Bible, by the way, going all the way back to Abraham in Genesis, when he was called on to sacrifice his son, Isaac, the son of promise (cf. Genesis 22).

Atheists amaze me because they never see their own faults, though they are so quick to point out any perceived fault of the religionist.  I've heard atheists use the Name of Jesus as a swear word in one breath and in the next, they'll tell you how much they respect people's religion as long as it remains private.  They're liars.  If they REALLY respected my relationship with Jesus, they would NOT use His Name as a swear word, or the generic form - God.

Am I going to threaten their lives because of it? Nope.  Am I going to pray that God will kill them?  Nope.  Am I going to ask God to rain down fire and brimstone?  Nope.

I'm going to continue to PRAY for them because they are completely blind.  I will let God work in them should He choose to do so.  It is no skin off my nose if they use His Name as an epithet.  I don't like it.  It tends to bother me, but that's as far as it goes.  They are directing their words at God whether they think so or not.  God will deal with it.

Jesus Christ is God.  He is NOT a swear word.  That is the reality I wish existed.  I already know He's God.  I also know that He is a favorite swear word and sometimes, the speaker will even give Him a middle initial - "H" - if he is REALLY feeling the moment when Jesus' Name rolls off his tongue as a epithet.

This world, far from evolving into something better, is devolving into something incredibly evil.  Satan's imprint is seen all over our society and the world.  I guarantee it will become worse?  How do I know?  Because the Bible tells me so.  It's that simple.

If anyone wants to respond to this, feel free, but know that I will take apart what you say if it is a rebuttal to what I've written here, with a fine tooth comb.  I've read all the arguments for and against Christ's deity.  I'm completely unimpressed with the those who argue against His deity.  They sound like children trying to explain physics.  Why THEY think that sound intelligent, the truth of the matter is that they are far from it.  Their convoluted and self-absorbed way of trying to explain away Jesus' deity shows them for what they are - atheistic in their belief, even if they somehow believe in some type of god.

Oh, by the way, IF I choose to respond at all...

Jesus is God.  The Bible is clear.  He was not "begotten" in the sense that we think of it.  He was appointed or labeled.  Like begets like.  God could not have a "Son" without that Son being the express image of the Father.  That means, in layman's terms, that any Son God begets is equal to Him in substance and Person.  It can be no other way, sorry if you think so.
