TRUE HOPE TIMES
Presenting The Lord Jesus Christ!
January 21, 2011
Dear Subscriber,
Jeremiah was not a popular prophet ... the people of his day wanted to hear something that was "positive", "appealing", "popular" and "comfortable"!  The problem was (for them) that God wanted His people to be prepared for what lay ahead and what they would soon have to experience.

The problem for Jeremiah was that there were plenty enough false prophets who were willing to "play to the people" and give the people what they WANTED TO HEAR instead of agreeing with Jeremiah to give the people what they NEEDED TO HEAR!

The question that I pose today is this:  Which gave the people TRUE HOPE?  The popular but false prophecies or the unpopular and uncomfortable but true prophecies?

History is plain, only the true prophecies ever give people what they need for true hope ... anything false can never produce anything true!

Today we are faced with the same dilemma ... there are those "Jeremiah" prophets who are telling the truth, even though it sounds like doom and gloom, but in those prophecies are the ingredients for our very spiritual freedom; and then there are the "popular prophets" who give the "everything is gonna get better" messages that will ultimately lead people into despair.

Choose wisely which "messages" you accept and adhere to ... remember, the Truth is seldom popular and often it is momentarily uncomfortable, yet in the end the Truth is the only thing that prepares us and produces the peaceable fruits of righteousness when those prophecies begin to manifest!

As always, be richly blessed in Christ Jesus!

Dr. Timothy

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

 TRUE LIBERTIES

The first article in the Prophet's Corner should give us pause ... and cause to consider our true liberties!
Our true liberties come only from and are found only in Christ Jesus our Lord!
In the aftermath of 9-11, 2001 the Lord gave me certain visions that were anything but enjoyable!  As I shared these visions with some in my life at that time ... and some of you today were with me then and heard what God had shown me ... it was difficult to get our minds wrapped around what God showed us is coming!  After all, America is the land of liberty and freedom!

Yet, God showed me that "soon" to travel from state to state would mean being stopped at STATE BORDERS and we would be required to carry travel documents in order to be given permission to enter one state from another.  How absurd, some said this was!  And really, I hoped against hope that I was wrong ... but I knew that the visions were from God and that they would come to pass.

Well, now it has been nearly 10 years and sure enough - as the first article in the Prophet's Corner will show - the visions are beginning to come to pass.  Which means that the issue of liberty will begin to grow, and at the same time begin to diminish due to the fact that Americans must become subjugated in order for the one world system of the Antichrist to come to pass!

So, as this unpleasant development progresses, we must - perhaps finally - get connected to the TRUTH that the only liberty we have is the liberty of being in Christ Jesus!  As the world becomes more in bondage, we must live in that dimension of liberty that no man or government can take from us and that, again, is in Christ Jesus our Lord!

By the way, this is also what the lost souls of the world desperately need to see, a people who live in a realm of freedom that surpasses governmental issue!

This is also the time when - perhaps finally - we who are God's children in America will begin to realize the depth of truth and freedom in God's Word to us found in Romans 8 ...
Romans 8:18-19 (NKJV)
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

From my heart to yours!

Many Blessings!
Dr. Timothy

Welcome To 1984:
Your Papers, Please

January 20, 2011 by John Pugsley

Driving from California to East Texas, my daughter and grandson were 90 miles into the Lone Star state when traffic was stopped at a road block just outside the little town of Sierra Blanca . . .

. . . A short time later my grandson and I drove back to California. A dozen or so miles after crossing into California, we were suddenly funneled into another roadblock… only this time it was manned by half a dozen armed Border Patrol agents.

We were asked to state our citizenship, and then carefully scrutinized by an unsmiling officer who finally waved us through.

An even more sobering surprise awaited us…

We were stopped at a second roadblock 20 miles later… and yet again 15 miles after that. Three roadblocks between the California border and San Diego! . . .

. . . The rise of checkpoints in America, as well as the indignities we suffer at the hands of airport Transportation Security Administration agents, is merely outward evidence of a much deeper net being cast around individual liberty.

Majority of Protestants and Evangelicals now embrace doctrine of universalism
The majority of Protestants and evangelicals believe that good people and people of other religions can go to heaven, according to author David Campbell.

Campbell, who co-wrote American Grace, How Religion Divides and Unites Us, contends that surveys of 3,000 Americans, used to write the book, show that American people of faith, though devout, are very tolerant. So much so that most believers also believe that good people, despite their religious affiliation, can go to heaven.

Among the faiths, 83 percent of evangelical Protestants agreed that good people of other religions can go to heaven. Ninety percent of black Protestants also believe good people can go to heaven.

When prodded further, more than half – 54 percent – of evangelical Protestants said yes, people of religions other than Christianity can go to heaven. Sixty-two percent of black Protestants agreed with the statement.

Notably, the author mentioned that there may be some in the evangelical category that don't belong.

Campbell, an expert of religion, politics and public policy, explained at a Thursday discussion of his book that the numbers can be explained with the “Aunt Susan” theory. Aunt Susan, he said, is the nice family member who is well-loved and is an all around do-gooder.

“You know that if anyone is destined to go to heaven, it’s Aunt Susan,” described Campbell.

However, Aunt Susan is of another religion. Rather than condemn that person to a lost eternity, Campbell said, most American believers choose instead to believe that that person is heaven-bound.

He also shared that knowing an Aunt Susan opens believers up to other faiths.

“You become warmer not only to people of that group, but to people of other groups,” Campbell contended.

Simply put, interlocking social networks allows believers to accept tenants of other faiths.

Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, works with leaders of many faiths on issues such as stopping pornography, abortion and religious persecution.

“That doesn’t mean that I’m going to abandon the New Testament teaching,” he stated.

Those who do so to accommodate other beliefs “aren’t very good evangelicals,” in his view.

Land lamented that more evangelicals are being taught the doctrine of universalism. “It’s emphasized from the pulpit; it’s emphasized in the seminaries,” he decried.

Universalism is the theological doctrine that all people will eventually be saved despite a relationship with Christ.

He said this is especially true of youths because the messages from the pulpit have changed.

“I think the doctrine ‘In Christ alone’ … was emphasized more 25 years ago than it is today so young people are hearing about it less,” he revealed.

While Land said it is possible for Methodists, Baptists, Lutherans and even Catholics to follow the tenants of their faiths and have salvation in Jesus Christ, he stated that the same is not true for Buddhists, Muslims and Mormons.

“It is impossible to believe what Mormons believe and be a Christian. It is impossible to believe what Muslims believe and be a Christian,” he said.

Likewise, he acknowledged that there may be unsaved believers among Methodists, Baptists, Lutherans and Catholics. Salvation, the biblical requirement for heaven, is an individual and personal choice, he told The Christian Post.

Land said he quotes the Bible’s New Testament which states that there is one mediator between God and men and that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life to all those who ask about heaven. If missionary work and evangelism is to continue on into the future, other Protestants must do the same, he asserted.

“If the price of respecting your faith is to deny mine, then that price is too high,” declared Land.
