Hello,
ANNOUNCING - - TRUE HOPE CHURCH of DULUTH MINNESOTA!

We are so pleased to announce the start of True Hope Church of Duluth Minnesota!
James Kelm is the True Hope ministry leader in Duluth and along with wife Kimberly is excited at the direction in which God is leading them with this new House Church!
James has one very unique qualification ... he is physically blind!  Rather than being a hindrance, this gives James a most special perspective in faith and the sufficiency of God's grace!
A no-holds-barred approach to faith and a very practical scriptural application has been evidenced in James life as a professional musician for over 20 years and 30 years in martial arts including operating a martial arts school!

James presents the Gospel through a traditional, conservative message holding that the Word of God is THE Truth and that Jesus is our ONLY TRUE HOPE!
Beginning as a house church, the vision James and Kimberly have is that True Hope Church of Duluth will grow to include a more traditional temple styled congregation.
You can welcome James, Kimberly and True Hope Church of Duluth by Email - - jameskelm@truehopechurches.com and please pray for their success in following God's will in this ministry!

Many Blessings!

SUCCESSFUL
SPIRITUAL
STRATEGIES
  Part Five

Jesus wants two things for our souls ... First - to be healthy and Second, to prosper!  So this brings out the question - - IS YOUR SOUL PROSPERING?

This Issue - EFFECTIVE CONFESSION

What is meant by “effective confession”?  Just as prayers are either effective or non-effective, our confessions may be either effective or non-effective.  Non-effective confessions are not just a waste of time, these become tools of defeat in the arsenal of satan!

In some circles, confession means naming your will “in the name of Jesus”!  In some it means repeating a promise of God for “my life”, also “in Jesus’ name”!  While in some groups of saints there is no such thing as confession at all!

Repeating a thing over and over and over WILL NOT make anything happen or give you the strength you need to gain victory!  Finding a “promise” then coupling it with “all the promises of God are yes and amen …” and repeating this over and over will not cause a thing to happen either!

Non-effective confession is this:  Stating what amounts to YOUR will/desires expecting God to fulfill YOUR command because you belong to Him.  Sadly, I have heard this type of confession expanded to the point that ministers literally COMMAND Jesus to heal a person!

Effective confession will always have two results:  One – make us an overcomer; Two – bring us into agreement/submission/cooperation with God’s Will.

The best examples of effective confession can be found in Matthew 4 and Luke 4 when Jesus was engaged in spiritual warfare against satan and temptation!

While the power in Christ came from His divinity, our power comes from one thing and ONE THING ONLY - - the shed blood of our LORD Jesus Christ!  (Jesus defeated the devil in the wilderness, conquered him on the cross and will eradicate him in the final judgment and through His shed blood Jesus anoints us with power from the same source as His!)

Confession, or the word of our testimony, is powerless without that shed blood of Christ being in effect in your own life (if you are not born again, you are wasting your time) and second, our testimony what is in agreement with and obedient to what God says about any given issue!

This is how Jesus defeated the devil in the wilderness!  He did not merely quote from memory a verse or two!  Notice what He did – He stated His reality which was, for instance, that regardless of what else was available to Him He would only rely upon God for His sustenance!  “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that is spoken by God!”

What else did Jesus do?  He refused to take the bait of fighting satan on satan’s terms!  Or, as we are instructed in James, He resisted answering the devil on the devil’s terms but remained humble and while satan was trying to draw Jesus into “hand to hand combat” (so to speak), Jesus simply kept His focus on embracing God the Father!

When confronted with a situation or wrestling with some temptation, ask the Holy Spirit to give you effective confession that will result in your overcoming the confrontation.

For years a certain man – a minister – had real struggles with sexual lust.  He hated it but no matter what he “confessed” he remained embattled with carnal lust.  Then one day, in response to his prayer for an effective answer, the Lord guided him to His Word stating that we shall judge angels.  Immediately the man began speaking thus:  Lord I thank You that in the day of judgment You will appoint me as judge over these fallen angels … God will reveal to me who you are and I shall pronounce upon you the most severe, harshest judgment allowed a human spirit to pronounce …because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ this shall be so!”

Talk about effective confession!  Finally this man became an overcomer in this crucial area of his life!  While this also qualifies as part prayer, part rebuke against the enemy, it was all the confession of the lips in the faith in what Jesus already accomplished coupled with what God tells us in His Word!

Remember, effective confession is confessing God’s will not our own!  Learn it, live it and enjoy your freedom!

PROPHET'S CORNER
Christian Man Given Five Years in Prison for Sharing Faith With Muslim
A Christian man has been sentenced to five years in prison for sharing his faith with his neighbor. According to International Christian Concern, Siagh Krimo was given the sentence last week in Djamel District, Oran, Algeria.

Prosecutors quickly charged Krimo of proselytizing after his neighbor made a complaint, and accused him of making defamatory statements against the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

Krimo was sentenced under Article 144 bis 2 of the Algerian Penal Code which makes it a criminal offence to "insult the prophet" or "denigrate the creed and precepts of Islam."

Aidan Clay, ICC Regional Manager for the Middle East, said: "Algerian Christians have been under attack in recent weeks as laws have been increasingly enforced to discriminate against them.

"While Algeria professes that it upholds religious freedom, it also embraces a blasphemy law that, by its very nature, can be used to prosecute anyone who does not adhere to the religion of Islam.

"We urge Algeria to acquit Siagh of all charges and repeal Article 144 bis 2 of the Penal Code."

The news highlights the escalating situation in the country, and comes just days after seven Algerian churches were told to close after the governor of their province accused them of operating “illegally.”

Police Chief Ben Salma, citing a May 8 decree from the Bejaia Province governor, stated that all churches “in all parts of the country” must be closed for lack of compliance with registration regulations. However, Christian leaders dismissed this assertion as the provincial official does not have nationwide authority.

“All buildings permanently designated for or in the process of being designated for the practice of religious worship other than Muslim will be permanently closed down in all parts of the country, as well as those not having received the conformity authorization from the National Commission,” Salma stated in the closure notice.

Krimo, who is a husband and father, now faces the bleak prospect of spending the next five years in prison, unless he managed to stage a successful appeal against the judgment. According to ICC, Krimo has 10 days to appeal the sentence. A Christian man has been sentenced to five years in prison for sharing his faith with his neighbor. FROM LEADERS IN MINISTRY

THE CALVARY ROAD - -
- - A Classic Insight
-by Roy Hession.

In April, 1947, several missionaries came at my invitation to an Easter Conference which I was organising. I invited them to come as speakers, because I had heard that they had been experiencing Revival in their field
for a number of years, and I was interested in Revival. What they had to say was very different from much of what I had associated with Revival. It was very simple and very quiet.

As they unfolded their message and gave their testimonies, I discovered that I was the neediest person in the conference and was far more in need of being revived than I had ever realised.

That discovery, however, only came slowly to me. Being myself one of the speakers, I suppose I was more concerned about others' needs than my own. As my wife and others humbled themselves before God and experienced the cleansing of the precious Blood of Jesus, I found myself
left somewhat high and dry--dry just because I was high. I was stumbled by the simplicity of the message, or rather the simplicity of what I had to do to be revived and filled with the Spirit.

When others at the end of the conference testified of how Jesus had broken them at His Cross and filled their hearts to overflowing with His Holy Spirit, I had no such testimony. It was only afterwards that I was enabled to give up trying to fit things into my doctrinal scheme, and come humbly to the Cross for cleansing from my own personal sins. It was like beginning my Christian life all over again.  My flesh "came again like that of a little child," as did Naaman's when he was willing to humble himself and dip himself in Jordan.

And it has been an altogether new chapter in life since then.
