TRUE HOPE TIMES
June 29, 2012
Greetings from True Hope!
Greetings!

As I write this my heart is heavy with the need for God's people to once again lead our nation to raise up God's righteousness!

Today we witnessed what could well the final act leading to the undoing of our liberties in this used to be great nation of ours when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Obama care as constitutional!

The majority of citizens in our land were against this legislation - - but those elected to represent us refused to vote as the overwhelming majority of their constituents demanded ...
For the first time in our history, a citizen can be penalized for not making a purchase of a service!
But even these are not why my heart is burdened!

The Supreme Court has now taken a turn that will eventually lead to the total dismantling of our constitutional protections - - not by what they ruled but by their reasoning for their ruling:
  • Members of this Court are vested with the authority to interpret the law; we possess neither the expertise nor the prerogative to make policy judgments. Those decisions are entrusted to our Nation’s elected leaders, who can be thrown out of office if the people disagree with them. It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.”
For the first time I can remember (and I have lived more than half a century) the Supreme Court has abdicated its duty to rule on the CONSTITUTIONALITY of a law passed!  There have been numerous laws passed both by Congress and state legislatures that the Supreme Court has taken the "perogative" and made "policy judgments" by ruling against them!

So now what?  If Congress passes a law directing churches to hire pagans for staff positions, will the Supreme Court say that they possess neither the expertise or perogative to make policy judgments and rule such a law to be unconstitutional?

If a President (of any party) issues an executive order that Christians must recognize homosexual marriages as legitimate and must accept homosexual couples into church membership, will the Supreme Court say that they are not qualified to make a ruling protecting the Christian community?

Is it too late for the people of God in this now ungodly nation to humble ourselves and pray and seek God's face and turn from our wicked ways of the world to make a difference, to restore righteousness in our land?

Only God knows but I know this - - if we do not make the genuine effort then WE are the ultimate culprits in the demise of our once great and godly nation!

It is time to STOP THINKING ABOUT IT and start praying about it!

Many Blessings!

FEAR ... Lack of Faith  or
Lack of Love?

We are being told by some Christian “leaders” that there is a great economic famine about to befall our nation and that the smart saints are those who are storing up provisions for their families … and buying gold … and building bunkers and … on and on it goes.  It seems to me that these cunning profiteers have made a new industry in the realm of fear!

Actually this is not a new industry but merely a new face on an old one!  During the cold war, the same concept was being taught except the “fear” was focused on nuclear war and the devastating famine that would certainly follow.  But I ask, is this the right perspective for the child of God to adopt?  Has this ever been the right perspective for the child of God?

Think about it, when the economic famine befalls our nation, what will develop in the hearts and minds of those Christians who have stored up provisions?  Will it be security?  Will it be confidence?  Or will it be fearful isolationism and protectionism?

Let’s say that a person is able to store up enough provisions for a year or two, no matter how much is stored up - - eventually it will be depleted and then what?

You are right back where you began - - facing famine!

Not only that, but while you are living by YOUR provisions, will you be doing all you can to keep your stash a secret so that thieves will not break through and steal them from you?

Will you be generous with those who are starving and hungry or will your attitude be “we only have enough for us”?

Will you become an armed guard, willing to kill your neighbors who are, by starvation, driven to steal in order to feed themselves (wives and little children)?  How does this line up with the instructions and commands of Jesus on loving both:  Brothers and sisters in Christ AND our enemies?

Let’s say that your storehouse sustains you for 2 years but the famine has no end in sight, THEN what will you do?  Are you going to wait until then to learn to trust God?  Are you going to wait until you yourself are starving to cry out to God for His provision?  Is this what pleases God, refusing to rely upon Him until there is no other alternative?  Is it faith to build up your own reserves and treasures, then be willing to kill another to protect what is yours - - really?  Is that faith?

Yes, I do believe that we are facing God’s judgment on our nation and it will be severe and both sinner and saint will suffer because of the severity of the conditions.  BUT!  Your experience tomorrow will be based on your faith in God today!

CONTINUED NEXT TIME!

Many Blessings!

No Place To Hide - New Details On NSA Super Facility Being Built In Utah

http://www.theblaze.com/

In the heart of Utah’s desert, the National Security Agency is well underway on a project that has been called the nation’s largest, most expensive cyber-security project. Naturally, almost all details about the building’s soon-to-be inner activities are highly classified and no one is talking — officials in Bluffdale where it is being built and the nearby Salt Lake City are kept in the dark. Still, Wired’s Threat Level has gotten some details on the building and provides analysis on some of its expected activity.

Wired describes that the building is ironically and “blandly” named the Utah Data Center. When completed in Sept. 2013 it will house four 25,000 square foot halls of servers, among other things. Wired states that the cost for the project is estimated at $2 billion.

Here‘s some of the data center’s purpose:

Flowing through its servers and routers and stored in near-bottomless databases will be all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Google searches, as well as all sorts of personal data trails—parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital “pocket litter.”

Wired reports that the data center will store trillions of “words and thoughts and whispers” swirling on the Web. It states that “to those on the inside, the old adage that NSA stands for Never Say Anything applies more than ever.” In addition to public website data storage, Wired reports that it will seek out and house information on the “deep web:”

“The deep web contains government reports, databases, and other sources of information of high value to DOD and the intelligence community,” according to a 2010 Defense Science Board report. “Alternative tools are needed to find and index data in the deep web … Stealing the classified secrets of a potential adversary is where the intelligence community is most comfortable.”

Even with data storage as its publicized purpose, Wired reports that an official involved with the program has said “this is more than just a data center.” It hopes to be the ultimate code-cracking facility:

According to another top official also involved with the program, the NSA made an enormous breakthrough several years ago in its ability to cryptanalyze, or break, unfathomably complex encryption systems employed by not only governments around the world but also many average computer users in the US. The upshot, according to this official: “Everybody’s a target; everybody with communication is a target.”

Wired reports that the facility’s security system — an antiterrorism protection program — alone costs $10 million. The fence surrounding the building will be able to stop a 15,000 pound vehicle driving at 50 miles per hour. What’s inside that requires protections such as this? Wired has some of the specifications:

Inside, the facility will consist of four 25,000-square-foot halls filled with servers, complete with raised floor space for cables and storage. In addition, there will be more than 900,000 square feet for technical support and administration. The entire site will be self-sustaining, with fuel tanks large enough to power the backup generators for three days in an emergency, water storage with the capability of pumping 1.7 million gallons of liquid per day, as well as a sewage system and massive air-conditioning system to keep all those servers cool. Electricity will come from the center’s own substation built by Rocky Mountain Power to satisfy the 65-megawatt power demand. Such a mammoth amount of energy comes with a mammoth price tag—about $40 million a year, according to one estimate.

Wired also includes a former NSA official going on the record for the first time on the secret, domestic spying program Stellar Wind and its role in data communication collection, which when the Bluffdale facility is complete will be stored there. Former senior NSA “crypto-matematician” William Binney, who helped develop NSA’s spying capabilities before leaving in 2001, explains how the NSA deliberately violated the Constitution, which was the reason why he left, in setting up warrentless wiretapping to the extent that they did. Wired reports that much of NSA’s wiretapping practices now were made legal under the FISA Amendments Act of 2008:

Binney says Stellar Wind was far larger than has been publicly disclosed and included not just eavesdropping on domestic phone calls but the inspection of domestic email. At the outset the program recorded 320 million calls a day, he says, which represented about 73 to 80 percent of the total volume of the agency’s worldwide intercepts. The haul only grew from there. According to Binney—who has maintained close contact with agency employees until a few years ago—the taps in the secret rooms dotting the country are actually powered by highly sophisticated software programs that conduct “deep packet inspection,” examining Internet traffic as it passes through the 10-gigabit-per-second cables at the speed of light.

According to Binney, one of the deepest secrets of the Stellar Wind program—again, never confirmed until now—was that the NSA gained warrantless access to AT&T’s vast trove of domestic and international billing records, detailed information about who called whom in the US and around the world. As of 2007, AT&T had more than 2.8 trillion records housed in a database at its Florham Park, New Jersey, complex.

Verizon was also part of the program, Binney says, and that greatly expanded the volume of calls subject to the agency’s domestic eavesdropping. “That multiplies the call rate by at least a factor of five,” he says. “So you’re over a billion and a half calls a day.” (Spokespeople for Verizon and AT&T said their companies would not comment on matters of national security.)

Wired reports that in order to return to a Constitutional system, Binney suggested an idea for an automated warrant system, instead of “subverting the whole process.” When this didn’t happen, Binney told Wired he had hoped reform could be made under the Obama Administration. His idea didn’t take hold again. Where are we at in this country in terms of surveillance and following Constitutional privacy protections? Wired reports Binney saying “We are, like, that far from a turnkey totalitarian state” as he held up his thumb and forefinger close together.

Messages from: Leaders in Ministry

THE BEST is YET AHEAD!
-by David Wilkerson.

Perhaps during times of affliction you have almost fainted. You may
have been so weak and weary you thought you couldn't go another
step. But now, from where you stand, you can say, "I never want to
go through that again but God brought me out. He has been faithful.
Praise the Lord!"

God is not satisfied with a heartfelt "thank you" from us. Rather,
He says, "Wait just a moment, My child. I did not bring you through
all those troubles and afflictions just to make you a grateful over-
comer. I've spent years training you, putting you through all these
things for a purpose, and I'm not going to let you waste them now.
I fully intend for my investment to pay off. I tell you, your best work
is ahead of you!"

Now, as you emerge from your college-level afflictions, God opens
your eyes to your struggling friends in kindergarten. These beloved
ones don't think they can make it, so what do you do with your
affliction experiences? God whispers to you, "I need seasoned,
tested veterans, people who have survived deep waters and awful
fires, who have been refined through suffering. I want people who
will prove My faithfulness to this generation!" The psalmist writes:
"That ye may tell it to the generation following" (Psalm 48:13).
"Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me
not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy
power to everyone that is to come" (71:18).

Paul sums it all up beautifully: "But I would ye should understand,
brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out
rather unto the furtherance of the gospel" (Philippians 1:12). That
is saying something! When Paul wrote this, he was an older man
with years of experience and he was in the midst of one of the
worst trials of his life. He spoke to his friends from his heart:

"It would be the most wonderful thing right now if I could go home
and be with my Lord. That is my greatest desire. But I'm a veteran;
I've been through afflictions and trials and I know I'm needed here.
This generation needs to see a sufferer who survives and rejoices
in any affliction. My son Timothy is going to face all that I've faced,
and he needs to know that God will bring him through. So, it is
best that I stay and endure these deep afflictions. Look at me! Not
only have I survived, but I have true hope. I'm not down or depressed.
I rejoice in the Lord for all He has brought me through!"
