• First, just because we are the children of God is not the single assurance that we will not be deceived!  We must utilize - put to proper use - God's Word and as God's Word instructs us we must PROVE each prophet and each 'prophecy'!
• To do otherwise is sort of like a policeman thinking that he won't get hit by a car if he crosses a busy highway ... simply because he is a policeman!  He MUST exercise his authority in order to stop the traffic and in so doing he protects himself!

Genesis 1:2 are only two declarative statements demonstrating that each of the three persons that make up the Trinity, are all equal in essence and character to each other, and together make up one God. So if there is no difference with regard to individual superiority and value, what does it mean that they possess different levels of headship or authority?

It may help to explain this, if we are to consider my own body, intellect, and emotions. Each of these three components is equally James Kelm. It would be incorrect to declare that this body is more a part of me than is my intellect, or that my intellect is more of who I am than is my emotions.

Each of these three components is equally James Kelm, yet they exist as separate and individual aspects of me, while together makes up only one James Kelm.

Each of these three components however, although equally making up this man named James Kelm, have different levels of authority or headship over different aspects of my life.

My intellect has authority over my ability to solve complex mathematical equations, yet it is not my intellect, which has the capability to carry in the groceries after my wife has gone on a shopping trip. All three of these aspects of who I am work together however, when I hold one of my granddaughters in my arms. Although each of my intellect body and emotions are separate aspects of me, they all equally represent James Kelm, and they each have a different degree of authority within my functioning as a human being.

The Trinity is similar to this, although using myself as a symbolic representative of the Trinity is obviously limited and inefficient. But within this human being called James Kelm, similar to the Trinity of God, there is a hierarchy of authority.

• It can be said that my body has the ultimate headship, it is because my body continues to function via my beating heart, that the other aspects of me are able to operate.
• My intellect could be said to come next in authority, because it is through my intellect that I am able to process my environment, and through this assign my emotional responses to what is around me.
• Although each of these is equally me, there is a hierarchy of authority, which enables them each to function as intended. So when we discuss the different authorities or headships within the Trinity of God, we are discussing a different level of authority, which allows them all to function according to their intended design and operation.

Just as in the different levels of headship within the Trinity of God, there is an intended level of headship of authority among human beings, which if followed, allow us to function in the way that God intended, and therefore in the way that is most efficient. "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Genesis 1:27.

This hierarchy of headship or authority does not mean a difference in value or importance, but rather simply means a difference in "job description", which allows the proper operation of all. Just as within my own existence as James Kelm, the hierarchy of authority established by God for mankind, simply means that through the appropriate recognition of each role, can we all exist in the harmony that God first established as part of His creation. Although this is where our discussion can become extremely controversial, Scripture is very clear on what the hierarchy of headship and authority should be, although different than what "the secular world" would have us believe.

Scripture is also very clear that the hierarchy of authority among mankind should also be a direct reflection of the hierarchy authority and headship that is found within the Trinity of God. "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." 1 Corinthians 11:3.

God established the order of headship or authority among human beings upon creation. This is demonstrated by the fact that man (Adam) was created first, and was given authority over the garden (his environment). "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Genesis 2:7 "And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it." Genesis 2:15 After God made man, He then created woman (Eve). While man was made out of the earth, woman was created from man and was given a different "job description". "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." Genesis 2:18 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man." Genesis 2:22 we are additionally shown the authority given to Adam within the verse "And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." Genesis 2:23, because it was Adam who first named woman.

Also, it was to Adam whom God gave the initial instructions concerning the tending of the garden, "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat." Genesis 2:16, and "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." Genesis 2:17. So by these verses we know that man was created first, and then woman.

Man was given the authority over his environment, and woman given assigned the role of helping Adam to effectively carry out his duties. Yet again man's headship is clearly demonstrated by the fact that although Eve (woman) was who was first deceived by Satan, it was man (Adam) who God held ultimately responsible because he was the one who was to "keep" the garden, and because Satan was able to deceive Eve, Adam failed in his role. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" Romans 5:12

It may help to clarify this concept, if you imagine yourself having two children. Upon leaving to go out to dinner with friends, you tell your son to look out for his sister while you are gone. Upon your return however, you learn that your daughter has gotten into some mischief. Although you might punish your daughter also for her actions, the ultimate responsibility would be assigned to your son, because it was him who you had "put in charge" and had given the responsibility to look after his sister. You would have given your son this "headship" not because you loved him more, or because he had more value than your daughter. He had simply been given a job to perform, and he had failed in his role as steward over his sister. 

Two truths can be clearly identified in the life of every true believer of Jesus Christ.  One TRUTH sets you free, while the other stands ready to expose, condemn and destroy you. 

·           Truth:  We are all sinners and we all are guilty. 

·           Truth:  Not one of us can stand before the Lord without mercy being extended. 

·           Truth:  If we were judged solely based on what we have done or said, there would be no hope or deliverance, but only certain judgment. 

Yet, there is HOPE!  Praise the Lord! 

There is a greater TRUTH that sets us free from the condemnation and judgment we all deserve.  His name is Jesus!  He came to seek out and SAVE SINNERS, not condemn us.  (Luke 19:10; John 3:16, 17) 

 “ For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us,
 that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
2 Corinthians 5:21  

What MERCY!  What indescribable LOVE!  What amazing GRACE!  He came and conquered SIN for each of us who are guilty sinners.  Yet, just because He overcame sin, how does that help those of us who are still GUILTY?  As the Conqueror He now has the authority and power to offer both forgiveness and a full pardon.  He does this simply because He loves us! 

Jeremiah 33:7-9 And I will cause the exiles of Judah and the exiles of Israel to return, and will rebuild those places as at the first. 8 I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me. 9 Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it.' 

The very foundation of EPIC Ministries, who we are and what God has called us to do is based upon His mercy, love and forgiveness.  All of those serving in this ministry are those who had no hope of deliverance, yet by His mercy have been forgiven and pardoned.  We all still struggle, fail and fall at times in our lives.  Yet, the great news is this:  we fall on the mercy and everlasting kindness of our Savior Jesus Christ.  Thank You, Jesus! 

When considering these Two Truths always remember that death and life are in the power of the tongue (Prov. 18:21) . 

·           One TRUTH will speak of His mercy which brings life, while

·           The other truth will speak of our failure and compromise which brings death. 

What comes out of our mouths will expose the TRUTH of what is in our heart.  If we use the WORD to point out the truth of a brother’s failure, sin or weakness, then we are like the servant who was forgiven much, but in return offered no mercy or forgiveness. 

However, if we live and speak as those who are the recipients of the love, grace and mercy of God Who sent His Son to become sin for us, then our words and actions will be motivated by the same LOVE and mercy that covered our sin.  Only then we will have the heart to bear with the failings of our brother who is struggling with sin, compromise and weakness.  Only then will we truly be ambassadors of the greater TRUTH.  Only then will we live by this motto: 

Mercy always triumphs over judgment! 

This ministry and this man (Jerry Williams) will never be based on the truth that exposes people and without mercy sacrifices them on the altar of what is perceived to be holiness.  I hate sin and compromise, but at the same time I fully understand, ‘There is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and never sins’.  Eccl. 7:20 

This ministry is about God’s mercy, love and forgiveness.  We never condone or tolerate sin, but we love people who daily struggle with sin.  In every instance we choose to remember the mercy extended to us and in return offer that same mercy to all in Christ.  Anyone desiring to serve in this ministry who then chooses to use the truth to expose and destroy lives in the name of holiness will be removed because they have forgotten we are all . . .
