UFWDA eNews October 2016

Welcome to another edition of eNews and to readers who've recently joined us.

While UFWDA relies largely on the income from memberships, and thank you for being members, we know that there is a wider world of commercial interests that rely on sales to four wheelers. We'd like to get to know a greater number of those businesses and work with them to promote their products to our members and the wider 4x4 community.

If you are, or know of a business that UFWDA can help promote in return for some supporting funding, please get in touch with business@ufwda.org

A reminder that if you’ve been planning to buy from the UFWDA ‘online’ store, we regret that for logistic reasons the product availability is temporarily disabled. The donation function is however still available.

Your input of topical material for each eNews is still vital, so please keep UFWDA and our readers informed by emailing to editor@ufwda.org before the 10th of each month.

Your Voice Matters! Tell Your Elected Officials to Protect Motorsports This Month

It’s election season and that means your Federal-level elected officials have left Washington, D.C., to campaign in communities and states across the country until November. This is an ideal time to reach out to lawmakers and urge them to support the RPM Act before the end of the year.

SEMA has drafted a new letter urging action on the RPM Act in the final months of session. The SEMA Action Network (SAN) is urging its membership and racing enthusiasts everywhere to send the new letter to federal elected officials today. Even if you have previously sent a letter, your voice is needed once again to ask for immediate congressional action to pass the bill this year.

Here is a quick and easy way to send the new letter. Simply visit www.sema.org/rpm and fill out your name and contact information. It only takes a moment!

What a shame that old roads are not regarded as a National Resource!

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act. Managed by the National Park Service, over 90,000 buildings, sites, structures and objects are listed in the national register. These important resources are preserved to help tell the story of who we are as a nation and inspire us to learn from our past. UFWDA Voice content needed

There's another edition of the UFWDA 'Voice' magazine in preparation and UFWDA would welcome content from members. We need some photos of your four wheeling, including that shot that could be the 'cover shot'!
After a summer of activities there must be some adventure stories to share, even if it's links to stuff that someone else in your group has generated.

The deadline is the end of October so get those images and stories sorted and sent to editor@ufwda.org
