Greetings!

We hope this newsletter finds everyone doing well and enjoying some awesome summer days on the water.  July came and went, leaving many anglers in a daze after some incredible hatches and epic fishing days on our local area rivers and streams.  With the large snow pack we have received during the past two winters, look for water flows to stay constant throughout the summer.  Water temperatures may rise, but you can usually find some great fishing early in the morning and late in the evening.  Don't forget to check out our fishing reports webpage as well as the WorldCast Anglers fly fishing blog for the most up-to-date fishing information in the Jackson Hole / Teton Valley area.
The South Fork and Snake have continued to fish well during the month of August.  Hoppers are becoming more prolific in the area and we know that the trout are just waiting for these terrestrials to fall off the river bank during a nice warm, windy
summer day.  Nothing beats the sight of a huge trout coming to inhale a nice afternoon meal of a big juicy hopper, it just does not get any better!  Look for most of the rivers in our area to switch to fishing the big hoppers during the warmer parts of the day, especially the South Fork, Teton and Snake River.  PMD's, Mahoganies and Caddis will make up the vast majority of the hatches for the next month until fall arrives and the Baetis begin to pop.  As always, stop by any of our locations, give us a call (800.654.0676) or send us an email if you have any questions about our trip offerings, fly fishing equipment or general fly fishing needs.  Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Annual Casting 4 A Cure - Aug. 27th and 28th!!
We all love fishing, whether it be business or pleasure.  We all have a unique bond to the rivers, flies and trout that we constantly pursue.  After the first annual Victor Casting 4 A Cure fishing competition last August, fishing seems secondary to such other important facets of life.  Casting 4 A Cure was born out of necessity, necessity to find a cure for Rhetts Syndrome.  After Bill and Beth Farnum received the shaking news that their daughter, Ella, was diagnosed with Rhetts Syndrome, the Farnum family decided to pick up arms (fly rods to be exact) and fight this disease and march towards a cure.  Casting 4 A Cure was formed in an effort to combat this disease and bring people together to raise awareness and spread the word about how we all can help find a cure for this neurological condition, which commonly effects the young female population of the world.  To find out more, please visit Casting 4 A Cure.

The second annual Casting 4 A Cure will be held in Victor, Idaho on August 27th and 28th.  This is a wonderful event that blends fishing, live music, and good times to all raise awareness for Rhetts Syndrome and help find a cure for Ella!  This year, Casting 4 A Cure will be hosting the Freddy Jones Band at the Spud Drive on Friday Night, August 27th.  Be sure not to miss the awesome concert on Friday night and if you are interested in participating in Casting 4 A Cure, please email our office or Bill Farnum.  There are still a couple team entry positions available so don't miss out on supporting this incredible cause as well as experience some awesome fishing.  Let's all do our best to support the Farnum Family, their incredible cause and have some great fishing this year at Casting 4 A Cure.  Please take a look at the Casting 4 A Cure Victor itinerary for more information.  WorldCast Anglers is a proud supporter and sponsor of Casting 4 A Cure, and we would like to extend our greatest thanks and appreciation to the Farnum Family and Casting 4 A Cure crew.  We look forward to seeing everyone at the end of August!!

WCA Custom Foam Patterns!!!

We all get excited about fishing foam flies.  To be honest, having the opportunity to fish huge foam patterns is one of the reasons that our fisheries are so great and interesting.  The sight of a big cutthroat smashing a huge foam fly is one the most unique experiences offered in the Jackson Hole/Teton Valley watersheds.  We have taken our favorite patterns and tweaked them to form some of the best and most effective patterns that are custom only to WorldCast Anglers.  With the increased pressure on our waters during the summer months, custom patterns show the fish something that they have never seen.  WorldCast Anglers has just recently received shipments of these custom bugs and they are sure to go fast.  Be sure you swing by our Victor and Island Park location to pick some up before you head to the South Fork, Teton or Snake River.

Pictured above is the WCA custom Roman's.  The deer hair keeps the fly from landing upside down while the added yellow indicator helps anglers find the fly during low light conditions.  We have mixed in some custom orange flash material that cutthroats love to destroy, and the rubber legs give added action in slack water environments.  Single layer tan foam keeps the bug afloat just enough but gives the fly a swamped or sunken stone presentation.  This fly is guaranteed to give you some awesome top water action on your next float anywhere in the Jackson Hole area, so don't miss out on some of the best custom patterns this summer.  Please stop by any of our locations, email us or call WCA at (800.654.0676) if you are interested in special ordering some WCA Custom patterns for this summers fishing.

WCA International Hosted Trip Update!!!

Mongolia Update: September 29th - October 7th

The world's largest trout species thrives in Mongolia -- taimen grow up to 5 feet long, they eat dry flies (mouse patterns, for example!), and WorldCast Anglers is hosting a trip to catch them.  When anglers are not casting for taimen, the trout fishing on this trip is truly some of the best in the world with trout up to 30" eating dry flies like Chernobyl ants and hopper patterns.  The trip is limited to 6 anglers, who will enjoy 6 full days of guided float fishing on one of the most pristine rivers in the world.

WorldCast Anglers has 2 spaces remaining on this fantastic adventure from September 29th to October 7th.  WorldCast Anglers Vice President Jim Hickey will be hosting the trip, which includes everything from the time the anglers arrive in Mongolia on September 29th until their departure from Mongolia on October 7th.  This trip is the ultimate trout fishing trip in the land of Genghis Kahn!  Please call (800.654.0676) or email WorldCast Anglers today and reserve your place on this remarkable angling adventure of a lifetime!!!

At WorldCast Anglers, we pride ourselves on providing an unsurpassed level of angling service.  We strive to help our clients leave our waters with the memories and knowledge that last a lifetime. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help make your next fly-fishing adventure a dream come true. Tight Lines!!!
