Greetings!

We hope this newsletter finds you doing well and enjoying some great early season days on the water.  Spring is right around the corner and we are looking forward to getting on the water early this year to enjoy some great spring fishing.  We have had some of the best snow fall in the Rocky Mountain West this year, and our reservoirs are full from the previous two winter snow packs.  This all correlates to a great early season of fishing and nice summer with consistent flows, epic hatches and plenty of hungry fish.  So don't let the minimal snow pack scare you, we have plenty of water and look forward to a normal quick run-off.  Don't forget, we will keep you posted with any updates in fishing conditions via our fishing reports webpage as well as the WorldCast Anglers fly fishing blog.

More and more anglers have been getting out on the water as of late, and the reports coming back to the office are all good ones.  Boat ramps are clear, fish are hungry and the weather has been nice.  The Henry's Fork has been on fire lately, and our guides have been on the water every free moment they can get.  Don't forget about our Early Season Trips - $50.00 off all trips until May 15th and our "Brown Bag Special" where you bring your own lunch, save $30.00 and experience some great guided fishing at a very low price.  As always, stop by any of our locations, give us a call (800.654.0676) or send us an email if you have any questions about our trip offerings, fly fishing equipment or general fly fishing needs.  Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Guest Chef Overnight Adventures!!!

A true fly fishing overnight adventure, the South Fork Hilton trip takes anglers to one of the premier dry-fly fishing meccas of the Western United States and treats them to two days of exceptional fishing.  Inaccessibility by road ensures a quiet, personal experience rarely found in the Jackson Hole area.  And for the 2010 fishing season, WorldCast Anglers is blending the best in Jackson Hole dining and creating a one-of-a-kind trip full of divine meals, spectacular fishing and high end back-country accommodations.   Enjoy two days on the famous South Fork of the Snake, a magnificent camp to rest at night, a prominent Jackson Hole Chef preparing your meals, and more trout than any other river in the local area.

The first day is spent fishing the upper section of the South Fork Canyon.  With no time constraints, the only responsibility you have is to save room for the wonderful three course meal being prepared for you by one of Jackson Hole's finest Chefs.  Enjoy the rest of the evening sitting by the campfire, telling fishing stories of the day and anticipating the second leg of your journey.  Morning will start with a gourmet breakfast, while the guide prepares the boat for the 16 miles of cliff walls, side channels, river braids and gravel bars.  The South Fork Hilton can accommodate 8 anglers of all skill levels and age groups.  Guest chefs from the Rendezvous Bistro and Sweetwater Restaurant will be joining WorldCast Anglers this season for the Guest Chef Overnight Fly Fishing Adventures.
These trips will only be offered on limited dates during the summer, so please email us or call 800-654-0676 for more information on this Jackson Hole exclusive overnight fly fishing opportunity!
Cast and Blast trips for Fall 2010!!
Fall is a magical time in the Jackson Hole and Teton Valley area; most summer visitors have left the area, and the fishing is starting to pick up from the cooler days and nights.  WorldCast Anglers and Blixt and Co. have partnered to create the ultimate experience for anglers and wing-shooters.  Blixt and Co.'s core focus is to offer premier traditional driven pheasant and partridge shooting (equal to what you would experience in England) in Teton Valley, Idaho.  In fact, Blixt and Co. is one of the few driven shooting operations in North America that grants access to the public, with the rare opportunity to shoot authentic driven pheasants and partridges.  For information and availability of these immaculate driven shoots, please contact Lars Magnusson and watch their video to find out what their driven shooting is all about.

To start, enjoy a wonderful morning on the Lazy Triple Creek property hunting walked-up pheasants and partridges with Blixt and Co. guides and dogs.  The fishing guides will pick you up with lunch ready to go and shuttle you to the river where you will enjoy a wonderful fall afternoon full of uncrowded rivers and hungry trout.  The 2010 Cast And Blast rate is $825 (per two people) and includes: Traditional Walked-Up Hunting (8 Pheasants or partridges limit), Blixt and Co. guide and dog, shells, transportation to hunting grounds and to and from the river, WorldCast Anglers fishing guide, lunch, sodas and waters, and Orvis Rods and Reels.  The items that are not included: hunting and fishing licenses, a small selection of flies chosen by the guide, and gratuities.  Guns can be rented for the day at Lazy Triple Creek.  Cast and Blast trips are offered on a limited basis through the fall hunting season, so don't miss out on one of the greatest fall experiences offered in the Jackson Hole Area.  Please contact Mike Dawkins at WorldCast Anglers pertaining to availability, questions and information about these truly unique fall experiences and adventures.

Experience the Lake Take!!!

Often overshadowed by the famous South Fork, Henry's Fork and Snake Rivers, the area lakes and reservoirs can offer some of the greatest fishing in the area.  Take a look at Curt Hamby's, WorldCast Anglers guide, view on lake fishing in our area.  "About a one and half hour drive from Victor, ID is a spring and fall fishing mecca.  It's not one of those secret spots; during spring and fall you will see a plethora of boats of all shapes and sizes heading there to catch a monster trout that moves to a leech, scud or midge pattern.  Henry's Lake, approximately 8 sq. miles and never more than 20 ft deep, is known for its huge cutthroats, massive rainbow hybrids and jumbo brook trout.  These trout move through the "tree tops", or vegetation, that have grown thick from the heat of the summer months.

These behemoths are cruising and looking for their next meal of baitfish, leeches and scuds.  The joy is the hook up or also know as "The Lake Take."  As you strip your fly between the weeds, you can feel the grass on every twitch, until wham!!!  These fish hit so hard that I have watched a fish take a rod out of anglers hands.  The fish will chase your fly all the way to the boat, and when you stop to pick up your fly for your next cast, wham again!  It is almost as if they came from under the boat to pounce on their next meal.  Brookies from 3-5 lbs are common, while the cutthroats and hybrids push into the double digits.  The "lake take" is purely addictive."  Join Curt and some of the other WCA Lake Guide Staff to expand your fishing knowledge and experiences to our local area lakes this spring and fall.  Keep in mind, run-off never happens on lakes, so when the rivers turn muddy, head to the lakes and reservoirs with WCA to catch some jumbo trout.  Call our office at 1-800-654-0676 for more information on our lake and reservoirs fishing opportunities.

Panamanian Madness!!!

WorldCast Anglers had the opportunity to visit Carter Andrews and his new fishing operation in Islas Secas, Panama.  Islas Secas consists of 16 uninhabited tropical islands located 25 miles off of the main land in the most western province of Panama.  The max capacity amidst the 16 islands is 14 people.  Amongst the islands are some of the most beautiful coral reefs and tropical rain-forests in the world.  Staying at Islas Secas is a truly remote unique experience with plenty to do for the non-angler: swimming, snorkeling, hiking, whale watching, spa service and gourmet cuisine await you right outside of your Casita.  Then there is the fishing........

Fishing in Panama is truly wild!  You can expect the unexpected and sometimes the sight of the fish on the end of your line will make you question whether or not you are up to the challenge that lies ahead.  Islas Secas is 25 miles closer than other major resorts to the major fishing grounds, plus Hannibal Bank and Boiba National Park are at your back door.  The world-class fishing options are endless.  From Dorado, Rooster Fish, Tuna , Cubera Snapper, Sailfish, Marlin, Snook, Wahoo, Jacks and more, the Panamanian waters are teaming with fish.  Watching a 40 lb Dorado take your popper, the sight of a 200 lb plus Tuna take a top water lure, or a 800 lb Marlin coming out of the water are all fishing moments that will be etched in your memory forever.  Limited spots are available for the 2010 season, please email WorldCast Anglers for more information and availability or call 1-800-654-0676.
