Greetings!

We hope this newsletter finds everyone doing well and enjoying some great fall days on the water.  The summer came and went, leaving many anglers the time to reflect on the fish they lost, new fishing spots discovered, and the memories that last a lifetime.  Fall is a special time of year in the Jackson Hole/Teton Valley area!  The leaves are changing, fish are hungry and the rivers we love are void of the normal summer traffic.  There is nothing better than a fall day on the water complete with Baetis buzzing around and the yank of a big brown trout hitting a streamer.  Fishing can be excellent this time of year so don't forget to check out our fishing reports webpage as well as the WorldCast Anglers fly fishing blog for the most up-to-date fishing information in the Jackson Hole / Teton Valley area.
The South Fork, Teton, and Snake have continued to fish well during the fall months.  We will see the Henry's Fork come back into full fishing mode this week and it will continue to fish well through November.  Hatches consist of mostly Baetis and Midges with the occasional fish bursting through the water surface to inhale an October Caddis.  Streamers will become a sure bet as brown trout begin their migration to spawn and become aggressive to destroy anything in their path - friend or foe.
Anglers wait all summer for these opportunities to catch these huge brown trout, so don't miss your chance!  As always, stop by any of our locations, give us a call (800.654.0676) or send us an email if you have any questions about our trip offerings, fly fishing equipment or general fly fishing needs.  Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Off-Season Rates Return!!!

WorldCast Anglers saw some incredible fishing this summer season; however, we are most excited for what is to come this fall.  With unseasonably warm temperatures the first couple weeks of October, the fishing should hit the "incredible" mark on the next cloudy/rainy day that we experience.  Rivers will be vacant of their normal summer users and full of water.  Bugs will be hatching, the leaves changing and the fish eating, especially the big brown trout!  Don't forget about Henry's Lake and their jumbo hybrids and monster brook trout.  What is not to like about fall in Jackson Hole/Teton Valley?
There is no better way to experience these wonderful fall days than on the river with one of our experienced and professional guides.  Starting October 20th, all WCA trips will be discounted to our "off-season" rates of $50 off any trip.  Bring your own lunch and we will discount an additional $20 off the trip for a complete savings of $70.  Enjoy some awesome fall days on the water with our incredible guide staff at an outstanding price!  Don't let this offer go to waste!  To learn more about these awesome discounts, stop in any of our locations, email us or give us a call at 800.654.0676.
Is it time to replace that old, dirty, and cracked flyline?  Do you need to upgrade your older fly fishing equipment?  Did your fishing partner break the reel that you loaned him this summer?  Are you thinking about adding an additional rod to your collection?  Is your fly selection looking slim from the summer PMD hatch?  Are you planning some off season fishing excursions?  Well now is the time; WCA is placing their remaining summer inventory of rods, reels, sportswear and accessories on sale for the fall and winter.  Don't miss out on some incredible savings on all fly fishing equipment from all the major brands (Orvis, Simms, Rio, Airflo, Smith, and Kaenon - to mention a few).  This is a great time of year to pick up some awesome gear at a low price for next summer!!!

If those discount percentages do not get your attention, all flies except streamers are $1.00!!!  That is correct, all flies, except streamers are $1.00.  Whether it be foam, dry, or nymph, all flies are $1.00.  All items on the sale rack have now been marked down to 50% off!  Don't let these awesome deals pass you by this fall season.  There are a couple of stipulations: Discounts are only valid on in-stock items and are not valid with any other offer.  As a bonus, all sale transaction receipts are going to be entered into a raffle for one free night of lodging at WorldCast Anglers Island Park.  All discount items are going fast (we only have 1 Orvis Helios rod left in stock), so please feel free to stop by our Victor and Island Park locations, call us (800.654.0676) or email us with any questions you may have on any items.  WorldCast Anglers would be happy to offer free shipping for any purchase over $50!  We look forward to seeing everyone to take advantage of these off-season specials during the next couple of weeks!

The Jackson Hole One Fly Tournament brings together the best guides and fisherman from around the globe to compete for two days, fishing with only one fly each day.  Points are based on fish size, overall number of fish caught, and keeping your chosen fly for that day.  WorldCast Anglers has always had a strong presence in the event whether it be guides, professional and amateur anglers, as well as JH One Fly Volunteers; however, 2010 had WCA posted on almost every leader board.  Top Guides, Top Professionals, Top team, every category listed contained a member of the WCA Team!!!  A full view of all scoring, stats, top guides and sections can be viewed on the Jackson Hole One Fly website.

WorldCast Anglers' Vice President, Jim Hickey, recently visited and fished Mongolia, below is an except from his fishing report from the land of Genghis Khan:

"Why would you want to fish Mongolia with WorldCast Anglers?  From my recent fishing trip there, I think the more appropriate question here is 'why not?'  If you like casting streamers and big dry flies (mouse patterns and grass hoppers to be specific), if you like catching trout after trout in the 20"-26" range, if you want to try and hook and land a fish which eats flies like a killer whale eats seals, then why not fish in Mongolia.  Without question, our 7 day trip this past week was one of the most exciting freshwater trips I have ever experienced.

Words do not do justice to the beauty of the landscape, the hospitality of the people, and the pure excitement of the fishing.  The food was excellent and the riverside camping extremely comfortable, and oh...did I mention the fishing?  Watching one taimen hit the fly was both startling and thrilling; watching these fish up to 55" explode on our flies for 6 straight days was enough to have the entire group making plans to return in 2011.  The trip is spectacular and not one to miss, so mark September 30th - October 8th off your calendars for 2011.  Space is limited to 6 anglers so please call (800.654.0676) or email WorldCast Anglers today with any questions about this incredible fishing opportunity coming up in 2011!!!

At WorldCast Anglers, we pride ourselves on providing an unsurpassed level of angling service.  We strive to help our clients leave our waters with the memories and knowledge that last a lifetime. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help make your next fly-fishing adventure a dream come true. Tight Lines!!!
