The Fall is the New Summer in 2009!

We hope this finds you doing well and enjoying some fantastic days on the water!  After a wet and rainy beginning, the 2009 fishing season started with a bang with Salmonflies on the South Fork and has not slowed down a bit.  To be honest, many of us believe it has not reached its full fishing potential.  Fishing in July was phenomenal throughout Eastern Idaho and Wyoming, and the fall promises to be just as good.  From the South Fork to the Teton, as well as the Snake River in Wyoming, we have seen excellent dry fly fishing with Golden Stones, PMD's and Yellow Sallies.  The PMD fishing on riffles and gravel bars should remain strong in the coming weeks on the South Fork.

Late summer brings the arrival of hopper fishing in the Rocky Mountain West, and we expect the hopper fishing this season to be exceptionally good all the way into September.  Pounding the banks with big foam hoppers can be one of the best experiences in fly fishing.  Healthy flows have provided great fishing on the South Fork, Teton, Henry's Fork, Snake and other local area rivers, and this should continue to be the case through the end of the season.  We are particularly excited for late season fishing on the Teton in both the valley and canyon stretches.  You won't want to miss some of the late summer season's best fishing, so give us a call (800.654.0676) today to book your next western fly fishing adventure.

Fall Special on the Henry's Fork!

With summer quickly passing by, we are constantly reminded of fall around the corner.  One of the best times of the year to fish, the 2009 fall season will be loaded with great fishing days, and WorldCast Anglers is offering a special deal for those autumn days that all anglers look forward to each year.  Rivers will be full of water and empty of the usual summer users, bugs will be hatching and the trout will be hungry.

The world famous Henry's Fork is a great place to experience the fall fishing frenzy and hit a multitude of different water while enjoying some of the best guides in the Island Park area.  Cast baetis to rising rainbows on the Railroad Ranch, nymph and toss streamers in the pocket water of the Box Canyon or chase big brown trout in the lower river near Ora Bridge and Chester.  The best part is WorldCast Anglers will give you an extra free night of lodging when you book a trip and night of lodging from September 15th to October 31st!
Don't let this fall go unfished!  Feel free to call our Island Park office at 208-787-0082 to reserve your trip and lodging today!
South Fork Overnight Adventures!!
If you haven't had the opportunity to experience our Overnight Trip on the South Fork of the Snake, you are missing out on one of the greatest fly fishing trips in the Western United States.  A  combination of two full guided days on the water with an overnight stay at either our famous South Fork Hilton or Cottonwood Camp is a sure way to get away from the crowds and spend the night in the heart of the South Fork Canyon.  Don't worry about bringing camping equipment, sleeping bags, cooking gear or tents, WorldCast Anglers will take care of everything for you!

Upon arrival in camp, guests are treated to appetizers and a delicious dinner prepared by our camp cook, as well as a complementary selection of wine, beer, and soft drinks.  A warm campfire keeps the fishing tales going after dinner before everyone retires to their tents for the night.  In the morning, after coffee and a hot breakfast, it is back to the river for another day of floating and fishing through the lower portion of the canyon.  This is one of our most popular trips and tends to book quickly; however, we do have some limited availability throughout the remainder of the season.  As always, you are more than welcome to email any WCA office at gofish@worldcastanglers.com or call 1.800.654.0676 to reserve your next South Fork Overnight Adventure!

Orvis 9ft 6wt Helios - The Ultimate Rod !!!

At WorldCast Anglers, we are serious about our fishing equipment, so when a new piece of tackle impresses the shop staff, guides, clients as well as president of the company, we feel obligated to tell everyone we know.  The new Orvis Helios 9ft 6wt Tipflex is hands down the best rod for this area.  Weighing a mere 2.5 ounces, this rod has a powerful, crisp action to it that is perfect for punching big foam dry flies through stiff western winds, casting heavy nymphs and indicators and tossing the big ugly streamers that monster brown trout dream about.

We are so excited about this rod that we are going to offer any Helios rod in stock at 15% off for the rest August.  WorldCast Anglers Victor carries three models - 904-4 Midflex, 905-4 Tipflex and the 906-4 Tipflex.  To read more about how WorldCast Anglers Partner and Guide, Mike Dawes, loves this rod click here as well as WorldCast Anglers Partner and Guide, Jim Hickey, click here!
