Year End Bonuses Abound
Group Carriers Offering Substantial Year End Production Bonuses

Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Starmark and Assurant all have year end bonus programs in effect on new group.  The target dates vary but are generally until the end of January 2010.

In addition to their bonus, Starmark has also announced that they will block underwrite Unicare business if the agent has five or more groups for submission. Contact Angela Moore for details.

The Blue Cross/Blue Shield bonus is based upon clean case submission.  Agents that place their business through AMG have their cases screened by our competent staff to help insure that all necessary information is in place before submission and give you an added voice when issues need to be resolved.

Supplemental Products Sales are Soaring

Many companies are adding voluntary supplemental benefits, such as accident and disability, hospital and sickness indemnity, cancer indemnity, long-term care, life insurance, dental insurance and vision coverage to their plans as a way to "fill the gaps" due to the recession and as group health premiums have forced the employer to cut back on the richness of their health plans.

One carrier announced it has posted sales gains of 26 percent and 9 percent for supplemental term life insurance and dental insurance respectively for 2009 through June, versus 2008.
