Pharmacy Bags Are Coming!
After much review and hard work, the collaborative efforts between the Clinical and Community Education workgroups have paid off. Two prototypes of the bags are printed, and marketing to Florida pharmacies is the next step. KUDOS to the CKD Coalition!
The bags will be available in English and Spanish. Special thanks to the Florida chapter of the National Kidney Foundation for allowing the Coalition to use the Kidney Risk Quiz. |

American Kidney Fund Wallet Card
The American Kidney Fund features a wallet card online that provides basic information about the risk and tests for kidney disease. It also includes a list of blood tests and what the normal results should be. This tool may be a perfect addition to your patient education resources. Click on the wallet card for more information.

Family Reunion Health Guide
The National Kidney Disease Education Program (NKDEP) offers a variety of educational materials for patients, families, health professionals, and laboratory professionals. All of the materials are downloadable for free as PDF documents.

The Family Reunion Health Guide booklet encourages families to discuss kidney disease at family reunions and other gatherings.
- Provides three sample approaches and fact sheets on diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney disease.
- Designed for family reunion planners or family health champions.
- Only one copy needed per family. Organizations may want to order larger quantities to distribute to members.

Launches Kidney Health Podcast Series
The American Kidney Fund (AKF) launched a kidney health podcast series and unveiled a dynamic new podcast webpage. The series covers a wide variety of topics relating to kidney health, including preventing chronic kidney disease and understanding the financial impact of kidney disease.
The dedicated podcast webpage offers listeners an opportunity to enjoy the podcasts online and download them to an MP3 player of a personal computer. The page also contains downloadable notes for the podcasts. The notes provide additional information and details on each featured topic. Click here to view the AKF podcast webpage. |
