シリアへの経済制裁

オバマ大統領は８月18日、シリア政府がシリア国民への暴力を拡大し続けていることに抗議し、シリア政府へ追加的経済制裁を行うための大統領令を発令しました。米国におけるシリア政府の資産凍結、シリア産の石油と石油製品の輸入禁止、米国人によるシリアへの投資禁止など、これまでの制裁でもっとも強い制裁となっています。また、オバマ大統領は声明で、アサド大統領の政権からの退陣を要求しました。
