Happy New Year, and welcome to 2021's first Dreaming Edition of the Japan Travel News Updates Newsletter! Last year brought many changes and challenges, and while it’s not possible to predict what will happen, we hope that this year brings brighter and better times for all.

The Pacific Cycling Road 

 

The Pacific Cycling Road is a 1,400km cycling route that runs along the Pacific coast of Japan through six prefectures – Chiba, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Aichi, Mie and Wakayama – passing by scenic and famous sites such as Mt. Fuji.    

 

Taiki Town – cycle and unwind in the countryside

 

Cycling is a great way to explore the charming town of Taiki. Choose from a range of recommended routes or join a guided tour – from waterfalls to fresh seafood there’s sure to be one to suit your fitness level and interests. 

 

Kyushu’s castle town where samurai and ceramic traditions merge 

 

Saga Prefecture's Karatsu is a charming castle town from the Edo Period. It’s an amazing place for Japanese history buffs as it embodies not only a rich samurai culture but also one of the most prominent places for Japanese ceramics.
