Habu Park in Nakama, Fukuoka Prefecture features 1,000 blossoming sakura trees in the spring. You can also hire a boat to admire the blossoms from the water and the park is a popular spot for bird watchers, too.
Hi ,

The first month of spring brings some welcome relief from the cold weather and the cheerful bursts of blooms brighten the spirits with cherry blossoms making an appearance in the south and plum blossoms in the north. Meanwhile, the colourful Hinamatsuri girls' festival is held nationwide on 3 March and it’s still a great time to enjoy the snow – especially backcountry skiing.

It’s still unclear when we can travel internationally again, but in the meantime we will continue to bring you travel inspiration and updates and look forward to welcoming you to Japan when the time is right.

This month’s newsletter will delight lovers of the nationally revered cherry blossoms, we also visit Tohoku to see how the region has recovered on the 10th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake and we introduce a new art exhibition in Japan you can enjoy from home.
