Yahiko Park in Niigata Prefecture is known for its autumn colours, especially in Momijidani (Maple Valley). The vermillion bridge framed by crimson Japanese maple leaves is a quintessential Japanese autumn scene.

November is a visual delight, with the colourful autumn leaves in shrines, temples and gardens in most parts of the country reaching their peak during this month. The cooler weather makes it an ideal time for outdoor adventures, soaking in an onsen and just all round exploring!  


We do not have any information yet on when the restrictions for travel into Japan will begin to ease, but we will certainly keep all of you updated when such announcements are made. In the meantime, we will continue to bring you travel inspiration and updates, and hope it’s not too long before we can welcome you back to Japan.
